Treatment of Abscessed Primary Molars Utilizing Lesion Sterilization and Tissue Repair: Literature Review and Report of Three Cases [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Purpose: The purpose of this report was to review an emerging alternative treatment to pulpectomies and extractions for nonvital primary teeth called lesion sterilization and tissue repair (LSTR) and provide the results of three clinical case ...

Cells Dynamically Adapt Their Nuclear Volumes and Proliferation Rates During Single to Multicellular Transitions

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
It is currently not well understood how cells regulate basic properties, e.g., volume and mechanics within dense multicellular environments like tumors. Here, we show that different cell types of cancer and also normal cells largely decrease their nuclear and cellular volumes in emerging cell clusters and that this is partly driven by cell cycle shifts.

Tumor‐Induced Splenic Remodeling: Mechanisms of Systemic Immunosuppression and Emerging Therapeutic Opportunities

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Despite the transformative impact of cancer immunotherapies such as immune checkpoint blockade, durable clinical responses remain limited. Increasing evidence indicates that antitumor immunity is governed not only by the tumor microenvironment, but also by systemic immune regulation mediated by peripheral immune organs. Among these, the spleen

From Cell‐Free Transcriptomes to Single‐Cell Landscapes: Biomarker Discovery and Originating Cell Alteration Analysis via Graph Matrix Factorization

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
CellFreeGMF traces plasma cfRNA to likely originating cell types by integrating single‐cell atlases with graph‐regularized matrix factorization. The method decomposes cfRNA profiles into sample–cell contributions to reconstruct pseudo single‐cell expression.

Endodontic treatment of trauma-induced necrotic immature teeth using a tricalcium silicate-based bioactive cement : a report of 3 cases with 24-month follow-up

open access: yes, 2016
Background: Pulp necrosis is the second most common complication after traumatic dental injuries and occurs mostly within the first 6-24 months of follow-up period, depending on the type of dental trauma.

Investigation of the Dynamic Strength of Teeth with Prefabricated Casted Posts and Cores [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
Djelomično ili potpuno nepostojanje kliničke krune avitalnih zuba dovodi do određenog stupnja defektnosti zubnoga niza pri čemu u određenoj mjeri nastaje i poremećaj funkcije žvačnoga sustava.

Liver Kinase B1 in CD11c+ Cells Inhibits Fibrosis in Chronic Pancreatitis via the Oncostatin M Signaling

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates significantly reduced Lkb1 expression in CD11c+ cells in chronic pancreatitis (CP) patients and animal models. Lkb1 deletion enhances CD11c+CD206+ macrophage infiltration and reprograms pancreatic stellate cells (PSCs) via OSM signaling.
