Leakage of five root canal sealers
International Endodontic Journal, 1999Aim The aim of this study was to examine the apical sealing ability of five root canal sealers using a fluid transport model.Methodology A comparison of root canal sealers AH26, AH Plus, Diaket, Apexit, and Ketac‐Endo were tested on 60 single‐rooted teeth.

pH Measurement of root canal sealers
Journal of Endodontics, 1998The purpose of this study was to compare the surface pH level of three different type sealers after mixing at various time intervals in vitro. The cements were mixed according to the manufacturer's instructions. They were incubated to set in 100% humidity at 37 degrees C for 1 h, 24 h, 5 days, 8 days, 2 wk, 3 wk, 4 wk, 5 wk, and 7 wk. pH was calculated

Mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA) has been recommended for pulp capping, pulpotomy, apical barrier formation in teeth with open apexes, repair of root perforation and root canal obturation. Since, its introduction in 1993 by Torabinejad numerous studies have been published regarding various aspects of this material.

Glass Ionomer Root Canal Sealers
Journal of Veterinary Dentistry, 1993Since their introduction, glassionomer cements have undergone changes in formulations and have been endorsed for a number of clinical applications. Consistent reporting of bio-compatibility, durable adhesion, and beneficial fluoride release have followed the evolving glass ionomer cement. This report recommends the use of glass ionomer cements as root

Interface of dentine to root canal sealers
Journal of Dentistry, 2014Root canal sealers can interact physically or chemically with dentine. The aim of this study was to characterize the dentine-root canal sealer interface of experimental sealers based on Portland cement using an epoxy-based vehicle in comparison to an epoxy resin sealer, AH Plus.Root canals were biomechanically prepared and filled with any one of the ...

A new glass ionomer root canal sealer
Journal of Endodontics, 1991Various physical characteristics of a new glass ionomer root canal sealer were tested. These included setting time, ease of delivery to the root canal, adaptability and adhesion to the dentinal wall of the root canal, and radiopacity. Scanning electron micrographs and electron microprobe analyses were made.

Isopropyl cyanoacrylate as a root canal sealer
Journal of Endodontics, 1984Isopropyl cyanocacrylate was evaluated as a root canl sealer by comparing it with three commercial sealers. Six groups of 20 teeth were studied: a negative control group in which apical openings were plugged with wax; a positive control group in which canals were filled with gutta-percha without any sealer; and four experimental groups in which the ...
