Parking on a random rooted plane tree [PDF]

open access: yesBernoulli, 2021
In this paper, we investigate a parking process on a uniform random rooted plane tree with $n$ vertices. Every vertex of the tree has a parking space for a single car. Cars arrive at independent uniformly random vertices of the tree. If the parking space at a vertex is unoccupied when a car arrives there, it parks.

Root Substance Removal by Scaling and Root Planing [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Periodontology, 1991
The amount of root substance removed by scaling and root planing is largely unknown. The present study evaluated in vitro the root substance loss caused by a defined number of working strokes at known forces. Forty extracted teeth with loss of connective tissue attachment into the middle third of the roots were washed and embedded in plaster, leaving ...

Effect of green tea catechin, a local drug delivery system as an adjunct to scaling and root planing in chronic periodontitis patients: A clinicomicrobiological study

open access: yesJournal of Indian Society of Periodontology, 2011
Background: Evaluate the adjunctive use of locally delivered green tea catechin with scaling and root planing, as compared to scaling and root planing alone in the management of chronic periodontitis.

Clinical evaluation of ultrasonic subgingival debridement versus ultrasonic subgingival scaling combined with manual root planing in the treatment of periodontitis: study protocol for a randomized controlled trial

open access: yesTrials, 2020
Background Periodontal diseases are regarded as the most common diseases of mankind. The prevalence rate of periodontal disease assumes a clear growth tendency, increasing by 57.3% from 1990 to 2010. Thereby, effective periodontal therapy is still a long-
