A basic study of root planing.

本研究の目的は, グレーシータイプのスケーラーの刃部と歯面との適合性の程度を調べ検討することである。市販の6社のグレーシータイプのスケーラーと歯周疾患により抜去された被検歯90本を用いた。スケーラーは, 上方からの刃部の長さと曲率半径, 側方からの刃部の角度と曲率半径を調べた。被検歯は, セメントエナメルジャンクション (CEJ), CEJより2mm根尖側 (CEJ') において上方からの各歯面の曲率半径, 側方からの各歯面の曲率半径とその円弧の角度を調べた。その結果, 上方及び側方からのCEJ, CEJ'におけるスケーラーの刃部と歯面との適合性は点接触であった° なお, 上方からのスケーラーの刃部の形態は, ほぼストレートに近いものであった。
