3D‐Printed Piezoionic/Bioelectronic Hydrogel for Electro‐Metabolic Regulation of Osteogenic Differentiation

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A 3D‐printed piezoionic GPMx hydrogel enables stable electromechanical signal generation under mechanical loading, exhibiting long‐term durability and low fatigue. As a bioactive patch, it restores endogenous bioelectricity to stimulate osteogenesis via Ca2+ influx and mitochondrial activation, while simultaneously enabling label‐free alkaline ...

Immunoinflammatory Mechanisms and Biocompatibility of Bioactive Dental Biomaterials: From Fundamental Insights to Clinical Translation

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Surface‐host dialogue at the implant interface governs biological fate and osseointegration. Surface physicochemical properties of titanium (Ti) dental implants, including microgrooves, nanopatterns, nanotopography, roughness, and wettability, modulate the initial adsorption of proteins and the formation of a dynamic biointerface.

Turkish Ro-Ro Traffic in the Port of Trieste

open access: yesPromet (Zagreb), 1999
This article gives an economic and organisational analysis of the intermodal transport se1vice by means of Ro-Ro vessels between Turkey and central Europe through the port of Trieste. Many traits of this service are innovative, at least in the Mediterranean. To mention but a few: the geographical area it connects, the rapid geo-political evolution, the ...

An empirical analysis of the resiliency of Ro/Ro and Ro/Pax terminal operations

open access: yes, 2012
Regular maritime lines with roll-on roll-off vessels must offer a reliable service without substantial cost increases in order to be competitive. Port terminals need to be able to respond quickly to any disturbance that might appear and return to a smooth operational state in the minimum amount of time (resilient terminals). In this paper a complete

Cellular ROS and Antioxidants: Physiological and Pathological Role

open access: yes
Reactive oxygen species (ROS) are highly reactive oxygen derivatives that include free radicals such as superoxide anion radical (O2•−) and hydroxyl radical (HO•), as well as non-radical molecules hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), peroxynitrite ...

Adaptable Covalent Organic Framework‐Hydrogel Microneedles for Glucose‐Responsive Isoliquiritigenin Delivery in Diabetic Wound Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
We develop a covalent organic framework‐loaded Traditional Chinese Medicine monomer nanodrug delivery system (ISL@bCOF) via boron‐oxygen bonds, a smart response to glucose for delivering AI‐driven isoliquiritigenin (ISL) targeting ZBP1. This dynamic release mechanism, combined with transdermal delivery technology via potent microneedles, can modulate ...

Spiro‐Phenothiazine Hole‐Transporting Materials: Unlocking Stability and Scalability in Perovskite Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Fluorene‐functionalized spiro‐phenothiazine (PTZ‐Fl) exhibits strong Li+ affinity and thermal stability, enabling a PCE of 25.75% in small‐area cells and 22.07% in 25 cm2 modules. Under ISOS‐L3 conditions, PTZ‐Flbased devices retain over 80% efficiency after 1000 hours, demonstrating superior stability and scalability compared to spiro‐OMeTAD for next ...
