Complete nucleotide sequence of rose yellow mosaic virus, a novel member of the family Potyviridae

Archives of Virology, 2013
The complete genomic sequence of rose yellow mosaic virus (RoYMV) was determined and found to have all the features that are characteristic of members of the family Potyviridae. The RoYMV genome is 9508 nucleotides long excluding the 3'-poly-(A) tail and contains a single open reading frame encoding a polyprotein of 3067 amino acids.

Occurrence and incidence of Prunus necrotic ringspot virus, Arabis mosaic virus , and Apple mosaic virus on oil rose (Rosa damascena) in the Lakes region of Turkey

New Zealand Journal of Crop and Horticultural Science, 2009
This study was carried out during 200607 in oil rose (Rosa damascena) production areas in the Lakes region of Turkey. During the months of April and August, leaf samples showing virus and virus-like symptoms were collected periodically from rose plantations. During surveys, photos of typical virus symptoms were taken. A total of 218 samples from 10 oil

Molecular characterization of Apple mosaic virus isolates from apple and rose

European Journal of Plant Pathology, 2014
Apple mosaic virus (ApMV) is one of the important viruses of apple and rose. Although the virus occurs worldwide the information on the virus presence in Poland and Belarus is limited. Genetic diversity of ApMV isolates from apple originated from Poland and Belarus as well as rose isolates from Poland was investigated based on phylogenetic analyses of ...

FIRST REPORT OF MOSAIC DISEASE CAUSED BY TOMATO RINGSPOT VIRUS ON ROSE AND ALMOND PLANTS IN IRAN

Journal of Plant Pathology, 2015
During the 2012 growing season, samples were collected from five rose plantations and five almond orchards in the Fars province (Iran) showing virus-like symptoms such as line-pattern, wrinkling, malformation and chlorotic spots on the leaves. A total of 50 rose and 50 almond leaf samples were tested for the presence of Tomato ringspot virus (ToRSV ...
