IS THE UNIVERSE ROTATING? [PDF]

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal, 2009
Models of a rotating universe have been studied widely since G{ }del \cite{1}, who showed an example that is consistent with General Relativity (GR). By now, the possibility of a rotating universe has been discussed comprehensively in the framework of some types of Bianchi's models, such as Type V, VII and IX \cite{2,3}, and different approaches have ...

Finite rotations [PDF]

open access: yesThe Physics Teacher, 1998
We discuss two basic properties of angular displacements, namely, the anticommutation of finite rotations, and the commutation of infinitesimal rotations, and show how commutation is achieved as the angular displacement gets smaller and smaller.

A New Reference Axis for Tibial Component Rotation in Total Knee Arthroplasty: A Three-dimensional Computed Tomography Analysis

open access: yesFrontiers in Surgery, 2022
The purpose of this study was to introduce a new reference axis for tibial rotation in total knee arthroplasty (TKA) and verify its reliability. A consecutive series of 80 knees that underwent TKA from 2018 to 2020 as well as 80 healthy knees were ...

Application of ultrasound in spine kinematic determination: A systemic review

open access: yesJournal of Medical Ultrasound, 2022
Spine kinematic determination is required to diagnose or rehabilitate back pain due to spinal instability. Ultrasound imaging, as a less harmful and cost-effective method, has been recently applied to kinematic analysis.

The effects of the rotation in plasma [PDF]

open access: yesPhysics of plasmas 3 (1996) 2849-2858, 2000
Electric and magnetic self-fields can exist in the rotating plasma. A self-sustained rotation can be established in the plasma. The disturbed distribution function of rotating plasma is derived from the Vlasov equation. The propagation of waves in rotating plasma differs from that in the usual plasma. New terms for Landau damping appear.

A New Vestibular Stimulation Mode for Motion Sickness With Emphatic Analysis of Pica

open access: yesFrontiers in Behavioral Neuroscience, 2022
Motion sickness (MS) was frequently introduced for rodents in research work through passive motion that disturbed vestibular signals in the presence of visual and aleatory, proprioceptive inputs.
