Magnetic Domain Texture in Fe3O4 Thin Films on SiO2 Nanospheres

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Fe3O4 thin films grown on ordered SiO2 nanospheres form curved nanocaps with 3D geometry, inducing magnetic domain texture. X‐ray spectromicroscopy (XMCD‐PEEM), cross‐sectional electron microscopy (STEM), and polarized grazing‐incidence small‐angle neutron scattering (GISANS) reveal how topography modulates magnetization.

Neuromorphic Visual Receptive Field Hardware with Vertically Integrated Indium‐Gallium‐Zinc‐Oxide Optoelectronic Memristors over Silicon Neuron Transistors

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This work proposes neuromorphic visual receptive field hardware with vertically integrated amorphous In‐Ga‐Zn‐O optoelectronic memristors and Si neuron transistors for retina‐inspired visual processing. The visual receptive field array, comprising ON‐ and OFF‐type cells, facilitates edge detection, thereby enhancing perception in complex images, such ...

Real‐Time Monitoring of 2D TMDC MOCVD: An In Situ Spectroscopic Reflectance Approach

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
By processing the high‐temperature reflectance spectra acquired during MOCVD, the dynamic differential reflectance colormap is plotted, where the nucleation, lateral growth, and coalescence of monolayer TMDCs can be clearly distinguished via plateau and valley features.

mathematical optimization of rolling stock rotations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
We show how to optimize rolling stock rotations that are required for the operation of a passenger timetable. The underlying mathematical ptimization problem is called rolling stock rotation problem (RSRP) and the leitmotiv of the thesis is RotOR, i.e., a highly integrated optimization algorithm for the RSRP. RotOR is used by DB Fernverkehr AG (DBF) in
