Surface gravity of rotating dumbbell shapes [PDF]
We investigate the problem of determining the shape of a rotating celestial object - e.g., a comet or an asteroid - under its own gravitational field. More specifically, we consider an object symmetric with respect to one axis - such as a dumbbell - that rotates around a second axis perpendicular to the symmetry axis.

Surface Differential Rotation of Evolved Fast Rotators [PDF]
Zeeman-Doppler Imaging enables one to estimate the short term temporal evolution of surface brightness and magnetic structures, under the effect of differential rotation. We present here spectropolarimetric observations secured between 1998 and 2002 for two evolved active stars: the K1 subgiant of the RS CVn system HR 1099 and the single FK Com giant ...

Spherical Product Surfaces in E4
In the present study we calculate the coefficients of the second fundamental form and curvature ellipse of spherical product surfaces in E4. Otsuki rotational surfaces and Ganchev-Milousheva rotational surfaces are the special type of spherical product ...

Algorithmic Design of Geometric Data for Molecular Potential Energy Surfaces
A code MolecGeom, based on algorithms for stepwise distortions of bond lengths, bond angles and dihedral angles of polyatomic molecules, is presented. Potential energy surfaces (PESs) are curated in terms of the energy for each molecular geometry.
