Modelling and numerical simulation of vibrations induced by mixed faults of a rotor system immersed in an incompressible viscous fluid

open access: yesAdvances in Mechanical Engineering, 2018
Extraction of features of a specific signal in fluid–structure interaction is among the hottest problems in the field of mechanics. Yet, a comprehensive study of such problems remains a challenge due to their high nonlinearity and multidisciplinary ...

PSMA8‐Containing 20S Proteasome Regulates Spermiogenesis and Male Fertility

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
PSMA8 assembles s20S proteasome that degrades specific substrates in elongating spermatids. Degradation of s20S‐substrates activates translation of FXR1‐target mRNAs, which are essential for mitochondrial sheath formation and sperm morphogenesis.

Unsteady stator/rotor interaction [PDF]

open access: yes
The major thrust of the computational analysis of turbomachinery to date has been the steady-state solution of isolated blades using mass-averaged inlet and exit conditions.

Aeroacoustic analysis of main rotor and tail rotor interaction [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
The increased restrictions placed on helicopter noise levels over recent decades have encouraged\ud manufacturers to better understand tail rotor noise and its aerodynamic sources. A\ud generic single main rotor and tail rotor helicopter has been simulated in high speed forward,\ud and quartering, flight using the Vorticity Transport Model.

Targeting m6A Reader YTHDF1 Enhances Antitumor Immunity and Potentiates Anti‐PD‐L1 Efficacy in Intrahepatic Cholangiocarcinoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The m6A reader YTHDF1 drives intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (ICC) progression by remodeling the tumor immune microenvironment. YTHDF1 promotes MDSC recruitment via activation of m6A‐FOSL2‐CXCL6/CXCR2 axis, thereby suppressing CD8+ T cell infiltration and function.

A superelement-based method for computing unsteady three-dimensional potential flows in hydraulic turbomachines [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
A numerical method is presented for the computation of unsteady, three-dimensional potential flows in hydraulic pumps and turbines. The superelement method has been extended in order to eliminate slave degrees of freedom not only from the governing ...

Enzymatic DNA Reaction Networks for Orchestrating Stimuli‐Dependent Temporal Molecular Pulse

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We present an enzymatic DNA reaction network (EDRN) that encodes nucleic‐acid targets in time, converting inputs into a universal strand and then into programmable transient fluorescence pulses. With time‐color multiplexing, EDRN enables single‐tube high‐plex nucleic acid detection and shows strong agreement with clinical sequencing across 32 specimens.

A Bioinspired Three‐Dimensional High‐Curvature Nano‐Interface Integrated Microfluidic Chip for Small Extracellular Vesicles Enrichment and Machine Learning‐Assisted Prostate Cancer Precision Diagnosis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A biotin‐modified artificial insertion peptide functionalized three‐dimensional high‐curvature‐TiO2 nano‐interface was engineered in a microfluidic chip to improve the isolation efficiency of small extracellular vesicles (sEVs). This chip balanced affinity, releasability, and extendibility, enabling high‐throughput recovery of sEVs for downstream ...

The Reliability Analysis of a Turbine Rotor Structure Based on the Kriging Surrogate Model

open access: yesMachines
The turbine rotor is a core component in many energy conversion systems, where it is subjected to loads such as aerodynamic and centrifugal forces that make it highly susceptible to damage.
