Sensorless Speed Estimation by Using Rotor Slot Harmonics for Squirrel Cage Induction Motor
2017Speed sensors have been used to obtain the motor speed. The sensors generally generate square-wave output signal. The signals are analyzed by some techniques as long measurement, pulse counting or spectral analysis. In addition to these, sensorless speed estimation methods has been focused on to estimation of the motor speed in the recent years.

A Genetic Algorithm Approach for Sensorless Speed Estimation by using Rotor Slot Harmonics
2015In this paper a sensorless speed estimation method with genetic algorithm for squirrel cage induction motors is presented. Sensorless speed estimation methods generally are based on motor current. Frequency spectrum of the current has components representing rotor slot harmonics.
