Oxygen substitution in NaTaOxCl6‐2x drives structural evolution from isolated [TaCl6]– octahedra, through oxygen‐bridged [Ta2OCl10]2– dimers, toward extended trans‐[TaO2Cl4]3– chain‐like arrangements. At intermediate compositions, zero‐dimensional corner‐sharing motifs are proposed to create a flexible, disordered framework that peaks ionic ...

Effects of vane/blade ratio and spacing on fan noise, volume 1 [PDF]
The noise characteristics of a high-speed fan were studied. The experimental investigation was carried out on a 50.8 cm (20 in.) diameter scale model fan stage in an anechoic chamber with an inflow turbulence control screen installed.

The work examines the electrochemical and interfacial behaviors of crystalline NaAlCl4 and amorphous Na–Al–oxychloride solid electrolytes with NaNi0.5Mn0.5O2 cathodes. Operando gas evolution and ToF‐SIMS analyses highlight that pure chloride solid electrolytes offer greater interfacial stability and safety compared to the oxychloride solid electrolytes

Thermal and flow interactions in rotor-stator Cavities: Enhancing cooling through multi-jet systems
This study examines the impact of air jets, rotor-stator spacing, and rotational speeds on flow characteristics and heat transfer in cooling systems of rotating machines, such as wind turbines. Building on previous work that explored various flow and jet

Forced response analysis of an aerodynamically detuned supersonic turbomachine rotor [PDF]
High performance aircraft-engine fan and compressor blades are vulnerable to aerodynamically forced vibrations generated by inlet flow distortions due to wakes from upstream blade and vane rows, atmospheric gusts, and maldistributions in inlet ducts.

Herein, a patient‐mounted neuro optical coherence tomography system that integrates a 5 degrees‐of‐freedom skull‐mounted robot (Skullbot) with a 0.6 mm neuroendoscope for targeted, minimally invasive deep brain imaging, is developed. The system offers high‐resolution imaging with precise deployment, demonstrated through successful tumor imaging in a ...

Free wake analysis of hover performance using a new influence coefficient method [PDF]
A new approach to the prediction of helicopter rotor performance using a free wake analysis was developed. This new method uses a relaxation process that does not suffer from the convergence problems associated with previous time marching simulations ...

Microrobotic Catheterization of the Ophthalmic Artery for Targeted Treatment of Retinoblastoma
A microrobotic platform is presented that allows teleoperated and autonomous navigation of flow‐driven magnetic microcatheters, MagFlow, into the ophthalmic artery for superselective intra‐arterial infusion of chemotherapy to treat retinoblastoma. Extensive benchtop validations with patient‐derived biomimetic phantoms under optical and fluoroscopic ...
