Analysis of the aerodynamic performance of a twin-propelled wall-climbing robot based on computational fluid dynamics method

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2022
We present a twin-propelled wall-climbing robot that can stably adsorb and move quickly on a vertical wall by exploiting the propeller’s reverse thrust as the adsorption force and the wheel as the movement method.

Photoswitching Conduction in Framework Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This mini‐review summarizes recent advances in state‐of‐the‐art proton and electron conduction in framework materials that can be remotely and reversibly switched on and off by light. It discusses the various photoswitching conduction mechanisms and the strategies employed to enhance photoswitched conductivity.

Formation of Stable Amorphous Calcium Phosphate and Collagen Assemblies by a Versatile Spray‐Drying Approach

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Amorphous calcium phosphate (ACP) microparticles with long‐term and thermal stability are prepared with or without collagen using a scalable one‐pot spray‐drying process. Under simulated physiological conditions, they crystallize into biomimetic bone mineral and, when combined with collagen, form extrudable, fibrillar bone‐like 3D constructs.

DECREASE OF DYNAMIC STRESSES LEVEL IN ROTOR BLADES OF THE TURBINE AT THE EXPENSE OF A OPTIMISATION OF NOZZLE VANES GEOMETRY

open access: yesАвіаційно-космічна техніка та технологія, 2018
Interacting between the next rows of the turbine creates a circumferential flow non-uniformity, which leads to origination of resonance dynamic stresses on rotor bladings with frequencies z·fn, where fn - a rotor rotation frequency, z - number of stator ...

Color Routing and Beam Steering of Single‐Molecule Emission with a Spherical Silicon Nanoantenna

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We experimentally demonstrate broadband directional emission from single molecules using a single spherical silicon nanoparticle assembled via DNA origami. By varying nanoparticle (NP) size and emitter position, we achieve unidirectional emission, beam steering, and color routing at the nanoscale, revealing modal interference as the underlying ...

Aero-acoustic performance of a continuous transonic wind-tunnel axial-flow compressor

open access: yesXibei Gongye Daxue Xuebao, 2022
A three-stage axial-flow compressor was developed for a continuous transonic wind tunnel. The rotor-stator spacing and the ratio of number of rotor blades to number of stator vanes were properly chosen for the purpose of aero-acoustic noise suppression ...

Dispensing Volumetric Additive Manufacturing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Dispensing volumetric additive manufacturing (DVAM) prints 3D structures inside a photocurable resin droplet suspended from the tip of a glass pipette, enabling sequential printing without resin vats or manual part removal. Real‐time droplet profiling and ray‐tracing‐based correction compensate for optical distortion at the curved resin‐air interface ...
