Speed Control of PMBLDC Motor Using Rotor Position Rotor Speed PWM Technique
2021The PMBLDC motor being efficient and reliable option over other conventional electrical drives can boost mass production with simplified speed control mechanism for electric bike. Therefore, it is necessary to have a low-cost and efficient Permanent Magnet Brushless DC (PMBLDC) motor controller.

A Rotor Speed Sensor of Cycloid Rotor Flowmeter
Advanced Materials Research, 2014Positive displacement flowmeters (PDFs) are highly accurate flowmeters that are relatively insensitive to the upstream velocity distribution and fluid viscosity. Rotor speed sensors are the key components of a PDF. This paper presents the structure of a non-contact rotor speed sensor which can be used in cycloid rotor flowmeter and other PDFs.

High-speed rotor for microparticle impact studies
Review of Scientific Instruments, 2023We report on the design, construction, and testing of a high-speed rotor intended for use in hypervelocity microparticle impact studies. The rotor is based on a four-wing design to provide rotational stability and includes flat “paddle” impact surfaces of ∼0.5 cm2 at the tips of each wing.

Rotors running at high peripheral speeds have had many applications in physics, from Fizeau's wheel to ultracentrifuges, and the attainable speed has increased over the years with improvements in design and in materials. Speeds of about 1 kms−1 were reached many years ago; for example, by spinning spheres of very strong steel and with rotors of special

A high speed superconducting rotor
IEEE Transactions on Magnetics, 1975As a result of the predicted savings in weight and volume offered by superconducting field windings, the USAF initiated a technology advancement program on superconducting machines. The initial phase of this program was devoted to the preliminary design and analysis of certain critical components judged to be essential in constructing a high speed ...

Aeromechanics of a Variable-Speed Rotor
Proceedings of the Vertical Flight Society 67th Annual Forum and Technology Display - Forum 67 - Virginia Beach, Virginia 2011, 2011This paper presents the results of research into the aeromechanics of a variable speed rotor system as part of ongoing research into the optimization of an actively morphing rotor. The comprehensive analysis code, UMARC, is used to predict the performance and loads generated by a variable speed rotor across its flight envelope. The baseline helicopter,

On the Critical Speeds of a Continuous Rotor
Journal of Engineering for Industry, 1969An analytical investigation was made on the effect of axial torque on the critical speeds of a continuous rotor whose motion was described by a set of partial differential equations including the effects of transverse shear, rotatory inertia, and gyroscopic moments.
