Engineered extracellular vesicles enriched with the miR‐214/199a cluster enhance the efficacy of chemotherapy in ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the miR‐214/199a cluster is associated with recurrence in ovarian cancer. Engineered small extracellular vesicles (m214‐sEVs) elevate miR‐214‐3p/miR‐199a‐5p in tumor cells, suppress β‐catenin, TLR4, and YKT6 signaling, reprogram tumor‐derived sEV cargo, reduce chemoresistance and migration, and enhance carboplatin efficacy and survival in ...

IMPDH inhibition enhances cytarabine efficacy in SAMHD1‐expressing leukaemia cells via guanine nucleotide depletion

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.

Transient Nonlinear Response of Impulsively-Loaded Circular Plates

open access: yesEngineering Transactions, 1981
The finite element procedure used in this study is based on the incremental Lagrangian approach. Geometrical nonlinearity is included. The elastic viscoplastic material model is adopted in a form suitable for large strains. Linear 2-noded and parabolic 3-

Simplicial fixed point algorithm with 2d integer labels

open access: yesУчёные записки Казанского университета: Серия Физико-математические науки, 2019
Simplicial fixed point algorithms can be based on either integer or vector labels. An apparent advantage of the algorithms with integer labels is their simplicity and stability under round-off errors due to the discrete nature of integer labels.

On Round-off Error for Adaptive Finite Element Methods

open access: yesProcedia Computer Science, 2012
AbstractRound-off error analysis has been historically studied by analyzing the condition number of the associated matrix. By controlling the size of the condition number, it is possible to guarantee a prescribed round-off error tolerance. However, the opposite is not true, since it is possible to have a system of linear equations with an arbitrarily ...

Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.
