Diphtheria Vaccination Coverage and Correlation With Multidimensional Poverty Among Children in Nigeria

Diphtheria vaccination coverage among Nigerian children remains suboptimal (56%). Coverage is significantly lower in Northern states and inversely correlated with multidimensional poverty. Addressing poverty‐related deprivations is essential to improving immunization equity and curbing recurrent diphtheria outbreaks.
