Perceived Impacts and Predictors of Cannabis Products Used by Patients with Rheumatologic Conditions in Alberta, Canada: A Multivariable Analysis of Cross‐Sectional Survey Data

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective This study aimed to characterize cannabis product choices (cannabinoid content and formulation) among patients with rheumatologic conditions and their associations with patient factors, patient‐reported perceived side effects, and positive impacts.

Adaptive link-weight routing protocol using cross-layer communication for MANET

open access: yes, 2007
Routing efficiency is one of the challenges offered by Mobile Ad-hoc Networks (MANETs). This paper proposes a novel routing technique called Adaptive Link-Weight (ALW) routing protocol.

Laser Powder Bed Fusion of Alumina: Effects of Scanning Strategies on External and Internal Defects

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study investigates how scanning strategies affect pure alumina in laser powder bed fusion. Linear 45° scanning yields uniform surfaces but high porosity, while the island‐concentric strategy provides higher density with through‐holes favorable for infiltration. Findings highlight pathways toward optimizing defect‐free alumina parts.

The periodic vehicle routing problem: a case study. [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper deals with a case study which is a variant of the Periodic Vehicle Routing Problem (PVRP). As in the traditional Vehicle Routing Problem (VRP), customer locations each with a certain daily demand are given, as well as a set of capacitated ...

Exploiting sparsity in pricing routines for the capacitated arc routing problem [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
The capacitated arc routing problem (CARP) is a well-known and fundamental vehicle routing problem. A promising exact solution approach to the CARP is to model it as a set covering problem and solve it via branch-cut-and-price.

Low‐Cost, Large‐Scale Nanoporous Metals by Mechanical Alloying, Oxide Reduction, and Dealloying of Powders

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Powder metal processing provides scalable advantages in nanoporous (np) metal development. Mechanical alloying is used to produce unique precursors for hybrid nanopore formation by oxide reduction and dealloying. As demonstrated in np Ag, this approach improves process efficiency while promoting smaller ligaments and larger pores, both of which are ...

Innovative Processing of Compacted Waste Aluminum Alloy Powders via Controlled Remelting and Solidification

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates an efficient recycling route for out‐of‐spec AlSi10Mg atomized powders through compaction and arc remelting followed by suction casting. By correlating compaction load, cooling rate, and resulting microstructure, we show that intermediate pressures (50–80 kN) and rapid cooling refine dendrites, reduce porosity, and enhance ...

Simulation and analysis of adaptive routing and flow control in wide area communication networks [PDF]

open access: yes, 1990
This thesis presents the development of new simulation and analytic models for the performance analysis of wide area communication networks. The models are used to analyse adaptive routing and flow control in fully connected circuit switched and sparsely
