Interconnect routing and traffic routes
IEE Colloquium on How to Compete and Connect: Understanding the Engineering of Telecommunications Network Interconnection, 1997All operators are familiar with planning and building traffic routes within the development of their networks. For the interconnection of two operators systems, traffic routing sets out the logical connection of the networks which in turn drives the provision of the interconnect infrastructure.

Two experiments examined the acquisition of cognitive maps of two intersecting routes through an urban area. In the presentation stage of the experiments, slides of the two routes were shown in order to simulate travel along the routes. The number of presentations of the slides was varied.

It is well known that for a single, autosomal locus with differential viabilities convergence to a stable equilibrium is assured. However if new alleles are introduced sequentially by mutation the final equilibrium may depend on the particular sequence. Thus the equilibrium to which the population moves will be randomly determined.

In this chapter, scheduling and routing principles are discussed. At the beginning, a typical case for operative decision making and mathematical graphs for the representation of decision situations in a network structure are introduced. Additionally, the first insights into the algorithmic processing of graph-data as the basic ingredient for decision ...

Global Routing and Area Routing
1990The routing phase follows the placement phase. It determines the course of the wires that connect the cells laid out during the placement. The structure of the routing phase depends greatly on the design and fabrication technology. There are two approaches to routing—two-phase and area routing. In area routing, the routing process is carried out in one
