Attacks on Geographic Routing Protocols for Wireless Sensor Network [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
With the increase in the military and several other applications of Wireless Sensor Network, provisions must be made for secure transmission of sensitive information throughout the network.

Short‐term actions of epigalocatechin‐3‐gallate in the liver: a mechanistic insight into hypoglycemic and potential toxic effects

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Epigallocatechin‐3‐gallate (EGCG) acutely inhibited gluconeogenesis and enhanced glycolysis, glycogenolysis, and fatty acid oxidation in perfused rat livers. Mechanistic assays revealed mitochondrial uncoupling, inhibition of pyruvate carboxylation and glucose‐6‐phosphatase, shift of NADH/NAD+ ratios toward oxidation, and loss of membrane integrity ...

Reinforcement Learning-Based Routing Protocol to Minimize Channel Switching and Interference for Cognitive Radio Networks

open access: yesComplexity, 2020
In the existing network-layered architectural stack of Cognitive Radio Ad Hoc Network (CRAHN), channel selection is performed at the Medium Access Control (MAC) layer. However, routing is done on the network layer.

HPIM‐DM: A fast and reliable dense‐mode multicast routing protocol

open access: yesIET Networks, 2023
The Hard‐state Protocol Independent Multicast—Dense Mode (HPIM‐DM) multicast routing protocol is proposed. HPIM‐DM is a hard‐state version of PIM‐DM that overcomes its poor convergence times and lack of resilience to replay attacks.

A topology-oblivious routing protocol for NDN-VANETs

open access: yes, 2018
Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks (VANETs) are characterized by intermittent connectivity, which leads to failures of end-to-end paths between nodes. Named Data Networking (NDN) is a network paradigm that deals with such problems, since information is forwarded ...

EECOR: An Energy-Efficient Cooperative Opportunistic Routing Protocol for Underwater Acoustic Sensor Networks

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2017
Underwater acoustic sensor networks (UW-ASNs) have recently been proposed for exploring the underwater resources and gathering the scientific data from the aquatic environments. UW-ASNs are faced with different challenges, such as high propagation delay,

Retrotransposon Expression Is Upregulated in Adulthood and Suppressed during Regeneration of the Limb in the Axolotl (Ambystoma mexicanum)

open access: yesAdvanced Biology, EarlyView.
The axolotl's remarkable regenerative abilities decline with age, the causes may include the numerous repetitive elements within its genome. This study uncovers how Ty3 retrotransposons and coexpression networks involving muscle and immune pathways respond to aging and regeneration, suggesting that transposons respond to physiological shifts and may ...

Entanglement Routing in Quantum Networks: A Comprehensive Survey

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Quantum Engineering
Entanglement routing in near-term quantum networks consists of choosing the optimal sequence of short-range entanglements to combine through swapping operations to establish end-to-end entanglement between two distant nodes.

Double‐Stranded DNA Reduces dsRNA Degradation in the Saliva and Significantly Enhanced RNAi‐Mediated Gene Silencing in Halyomorpha halys

open access: yesAdvanced Biology, EarlyView.
The invasive pest Halyomorpha halys causes significant crop losses requiring innovative pest control strategies such as RNA interference (RNAi). However, oral RNAi is largely ineffective in H. halys. This study shows that double‐stranded DNA (dsDNA) stabilizes dsRNA in saliva by inhibiting a highly expressed nuclease.

Performance Evaluation of Routing Metrics in the LOADng Routing Protocol

open access: yesJournal of Communications Software and Systems, 2017
LOADng (Lightweight On-demand Ad hoc Distance-vector Routing Protocol - Next Generation) is an emerging routing protocol that emerged as an alternative to RPL (IPv6 Routing Protocol for Low power and Lossy Networks). Although some work has been dedicated
