Pest categorisation of Haplaxius crudus

Abstract The EFSA Panel on Plant Health performed a pest categorisation of the planthopper Haplaxius crudus (Hemiptera: Cixiidae) for the EU. This species occurs from south‐eastern USA to Northern Brazil and on many Caribbean islands. Adults oviposit on grasses, mostly Poaceae and Cyperaceae in the vicinity of palms (Arecaceae).

Sociocultural and Ecological Dynamics of Green Spaces in Brazzaville (Congo)

The study was conducted in Brazzaville, and data collection covers the period from May to June 2017. The methodology is based on literature review and floristic and equipment inventory. Nine green spaces spread over two out of nine townships in the capital city. Four are located in Bacongo and five in Poto‐Poto.

Roystonea regia (Kunth) O.F. Cook is largely used as ornamental. The propagation is done almost exclusively by seeds; however, there is a great variation in the germination process influenced by many factors. The objective of this work was to study the effects of the temperature and maturation stages on the germination of R. regia seeds.

Objetivo. Estudiar la calidad de la canal y la carne en pollos de ceba que consumen harina de frutos de Roystonea regia (palmiche). Materiales y métodos. Se utilizaron 40 pollos de ceba distribuidos según diseño completamente aleatorizado en cuatro tratamientos: control (maíz-pasta de soya) y la inclusión de 5, 10 y 15% de harina de palmiche.
