Renal Papillary Necrosis: Role of Radiology [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Clinical and Diagnostic Research, 2016
Renal Papillary Necrosis (RPN) is idefined as Ischemic necrobiosis of the papilla in the medulla of the kidneys. Variety of etiological factors are recognized which cause papillary necrosis, such as analgesic nephropathy, diabetes mellitus, urinary ...

Electrical Stimulation Directs Formation of Perfused Vasculature in Engineered Tissues

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 33, 15 June 2026.
Electrical stimulation (ESTIM) enhances vasculature formation in engineered human tissues. In 3D endothelial‐fibroblast constructs, conditioning with ESTIM promotes the formation of dense and highly branched networks that rapidly anastomose with mouse vasculature when implanted in vivo. Vessels formed under ESTIM are importantly functionally perfusable.

The rpn-10 mutant shows enhanced resistance to proteostasis threats.

open access: yes, 2016
Compared to wild-type N2 worms, the adult rpn-10(ok1865) mutant shows enhanced resistance to external and internal stresses, including (A) survival during a 35°C heat shock (n = 81 for rpn-10 and = 80 for N2, p tert-butyl hydroperoxide (tBHP) (n = 107 ...

Application of the RPN methodology for quantification of the operability of the quadruple-tank process [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
The RPN indicates how potentially difficult it is for a given system to achieve the desired performance robustly. It reflects both the attainable performance of a system and its degree of directionality.

Ultrasound‐Guided Peripheral Nerve Blocks for Percutaneous Treatments of Common Tendinopathies

open access: yesJournal of Ultrasound in Medicine, Volume 45, Issue 6, Page 1139-1161, June 2026.
Objectives Ultrasound‐guided percutaneous needle fenestration (UPNF) and percutaneous needle tenotomy (UPNT) are minimally invasive procedures commonly used to treat chronic tendinopathies. However, these techniques can be painful, potentially limiting patient tolerance, satisfaction, and procedural feasibility. Although local anesthetics (LAs) provide

Intelligent Advisor System for Prescriptive Maintenance of Engineered Assets Using Failure Modes, Effects and Criticality Analysis, Knowledge Graph and Machine Learning

open access: yesArtificial Intelligence for Engineering, Volume 2, Issue 2, Page 118-141, June 2026.
This paper presents an intelligent advisor for prescriptive maintenance that integrates FMECA, machine learning, and knowledge graphs to support fault diagnosis and root‐cause analysis. Validated on a linear actuator, the framework enhances diagnostic interpretability and traceability, linking sensor‐level anomalies to transparent knowledge‐driven ...

Lysosome function is required for the viability of the rpn-10 mutant.

open access: yes, 2016
(A) Representative images of day 1 adult wild-type and rpn-10 mutant animals stained either with Lysotracker red, which accumulates in lysosomes due to the low pH environment of the organelle, or with Magic Red substrates that produce red fluorescence ...
