RRF: A Race Reproduction Framework for Use in Debugging Process-Level Races

2016 IEEE 27th International Symposium on Software Reliability Engineering (ISSRE), 2016
Process-level races are endemic in modern systems. These races are difficult to debug because they are sensitive to execution events such as interrupts and scheduling. Unless a process interleaving that can result in the race can be found, it cannot be reproduced and cannot be corrected.

The Termination Phase in Protein Synthesis is not Obligatorily Followed by the RRF/EF-G-Dependent Recycling Phase

open access: yesJournal of Molecular Biology, 2016
It is general wisdom that termination of bacterial protein synthesis is obligatorily followed by recycling governed by the factors ribosomal recycling factor (RRF), EF-G, and IF3, where the ribosome dissociates into its subunits.

Whole genome microarray analysis of C. elegans rrf‐3 and eri‐1 mutants

open access: yesFEBS Letters, 2007
We performed genome wide gene expression analysis on L4 stage Caenorhabditis elegans rrf-3(pk1426) and eri-1(mg366) mutant strains to study the effects caused by loss of their encoded proteins, which are required for the accumulation of endogenous ...

Loss of the Putative RNA-Directed RNA Polymerase RRF-3 Makes C. elegans Hypersensitive to RNAi

open access: yesCurrent Biology, 2002
RNA interference (RNAi) is a broadly used reverse genetics method in C. elegans [1]. Unfortunately, RNAi does not inhibit all genes [2, 3]. We show that loss of function of a putative RNA-directed RNA polymerase (RdRP) of C.

Robust event detection by radial reach filter (RRF)

Object recognition supported by user interaction for service robots, 2003
We propose a novel statistical measure for robust event detection, called 'Radial Reach filter' (RRF). The capability of detecting new objects (events) from a time-series image is an important problem of vision systems. The usual method of detecting new objects is simple background subtraction, that is to subtract current image from a background image.

Governing the RRF

2023
The National Recovery and Resilience Plans represent the new framework in which European member states identify their development strategies and allocate European and national resources – with the objective of relaunching socio-economic conditions following the coronavirus pandemic. This process, initiated as part of the European response to the global

X-ray Structural Studies of Mycobacterium tuberculosis RRF and a Comparative Study of RRFs of Known Structure. Molecular Plasticity and Biological Implications

Journal of Molecular Biology, 2005
The crystal structure of Mycobacterium tuberculosis ribosome recycling factor has been determined and refined against three X-ray diffraction data sets, two collected at room temperature and the other at 100K. The two room-temperature data sets differ in the radiation damage suffered by the crystals before the data used for processing were collected. A

Mitigation Efforts to Address Rapid Refresh Forecast System (RRFS) v1 Dynamical Core Performance Issues and Recommendations for RRFS v2

2023
The RRFS is being developed as the flagship convective-scale ensemble-based prediction system for NWS operations to replace legacy limited-area modeling systems currently in operations in early calendar year 2025. The RRFS is an application based on the Unified Forecast System (UFS) and, like other UFS-based applications, uses the FV3 dynamical core.

Robust object detection using a Radial Reach Filter (RRF)

Systems and Computers in Japan, 2004
AbstractIn this paper the authors report on a new algorithm used to separate an object from its background using a background image. In the past, simple background subtraction has been used because of its low processing costs and ease of implementation. However, because this method depends solely on brightness patterns in the object and shadows, it has
