Whole‐Brain Monosynaptic Inputs and Outputs of Corticotropin‐Releasing Hormone Neurons of the Paraventricular Nucleus of the Hypothalamus in Male Mice

open access: yesCNS Neuroscience &Therapeutics, Volume 32, Issue 9, September 2026.
Using rabies‐based monosynaptic retrograde tracing and AAV anterograde labeling, this study maps the brain‐wide inputs and outputs of PVN CRH neurons, identifying them as a key hub coordinating stress, autonomic, and behavioral responses. ABSTRACT Objective The paraventricular nucleus of the hypothalamus (PVN) is a central hub integrating ...

Milestones & targets: the RRF, cohesion policy, and the evolution of conditionality

open access: yes
This chapter compares the conditionality provided for in the EU’s Recovery and Resilience Fund (RRF) with that of its cohesion policy. Both the RRF and cohesion funds employ conditionality in the context of spending.

Non‐Metastatic Squamous Cell Carcinoma of the Oropharynx: Primary Surgery or (Chemo)radiotherapy?

open access: yesHead &Neck, Volume 48, Issue 9, Page 2541-2556, September 2026.
ABSTRACT Background In patients with locally advanced, non‐metastatic oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC), surgery‐based and nonsurgical treatment approaches have not been adequately compared in randomized Phase III clinical trials. Current clinical guidelines recommend various surgical and nonsurgical strategies across disease stages for ...

Protein-RNA interplay in translation. Structural studies of RRF, SelB and L1.

open access: yes, 2002
Translation is a central biological process, that is catalysed by a machinery consisting of RNA and protein. In this thesis three different protein components of the bacterial protein synthesis system have been structurally studied.

SEUPD@CLEF: Team HIBALL on Incremental Information Retrieval System with RRF and BERT.

open access: yes, 2023
This report showcases the work of the HIBALL team from the University of Padua on Task 1 LongEval-Retrieval of CLEF 2023 [1] [2]. Our goal was to create a general-purpose information retrieval system, using the CLEF document corpus and judgments as our reference.

MRI Diffusion Tensor Image Analysis Along the Perivascular Space: Effects of Mean Tract Orientation Divergence

open access: yesJournal of Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Volume 64, Issue 3, Page 815-829, September 2026.
ABSTRACT Background The diffusion tensor image analysis along the perivascular space (DTI‐ALPS) index is an established term, and ongoing research aims to explore underlying mechanisms. Hypothesis DTI‐ALPS measures are influenced by subject‐specific orientational differences of the projection and association fibers. Study Type Prospective.

Fermented Pangasius Catfish Waste Improves Energy Utilization and Nutrient Digestibility in Low‐Protein Diets for Indonesian Super Native Chickens

open access: yesVeterinary Medicine and Science, Volume 12, Issue 5, September 2026.
Fermented pangasius catfish waste improved nutrient use in low‐protein diets for Indonesian super native chickens. A 10% inclusion level produced the highest apparent metabolizable energy, nitrogen‐corrected AME, and dry matter and crude‐protein digestibility, whereas higher inclusion levels were less favourable.

GFP reporters in the intestine of rrf-1 mutants are repressed by gfp RNAi.

open access: yes, 2012
The indicated C. elegans strains were raised on bacteria expressing gfp dsRNA, and imaged by DIC and fluorescence microscopy (overlays shown here) on day 1 of adulthood. rrf-1 mutants carried the pk1417 allele.

Polymer Retention Leading to Non-Darcy Flow in Porous Media—Influence of Molecular Weight, Composition and Mechanical Degradation

open access: yesColloids and Interfaces
Polymer flooding is a well-established chemical enhanced oil recovery (EOR) method, primarily aimed at improving sweep efficiency. However, the interplay between polymer properties and porous media, particularly the influence on permeability reduction ...

Delving in the Deep—Dominance of Non‐Native Species in Benthic Fish Assemblages in the Fragmented Large River Ecosystem of the Austrian Danube

open access: yesFreshwater Biology, Volume 71, Issue 9, September 2026.
ABSTRACT River fragmentation through channelization and the construction of dams has strongly altered river ecosystems, leading to declines in native fish species and the proliferation of non‐natives. Knowledge gaps still exist about the effects of fragmentation on the structure of ecological assemblages throughout all habitats in large, fragmented ...
