A decoding algorithm for DEC RS codes
Proceedings of IEEE. IEEE Region 10 Conference. TENCON 99. 'Multimedia Technology for Asia-Pacific Information Infrastructure' (Cat. No.99CH37030), 2003A step-by-step decoding algorithm is proposed for double-error-correcting (DEC) Reed-Solomon (RS) codes of length n=2/sup m/-1. Since the decoding algorithm can directly find the error value at the highest-order position in a received vector without determining the error location polynomial, the decoding procedure is very simple and regular, and ...

The comparative analysis of LDPC and RS code
2011 International Conference on Consumer Electronics, Communications and Networks (CECNet), 2011LDPC code and RS code are error-correcting codes which are researched much more at present, and in the two-dimensional bar code's applications the error correction code plays an important role. In order to accurately identify the two-dimensional bar code, error-correcting code's performance should be further enhanced.

An Improved Algorithm of RS Codes Blind Recognition
Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2014The acquisition of information about channel coding sequences is the research emphasis and difficulties at present, and recognizing the channel coding parameters is the prerequisite for information acquisition. RS Codes are a class of linear block codes as well as a special class of BCH Codes and cyclic codes.

Network RS codes for efficient network adversary localization
2010 Conference Record of the Forty Fourth Asilomar Conference on Signals, Systems and Computers, 2010Network error localizations uses end-to-end observations to localize random or adversarial glitches. For error localization under random linear network codes (RLNCs) the schemes proposed in previous literatures require the priori knowledge of the network topology.

Implementation Architectures and Applications of RS Codes
1999Some basic concepts of the RS codes and various encoding and decoding algorithms are discussed in Chapter 6. In this chapter, certain implementation architectures for RS codes are examined and compared. Also to further demonstrate the power of RS codes certain important applications of are introduced in this chapter.

RS-Coded MPSK Schemes for Fading Channels
1994In Chapter 5, the design and performance evaluation of the Trellis-Coded Modulation (TCM) schemes were presented for fading channels. In this chapter the issue of using Block-Coded Modulation (BCM) schemes, as a counterpart to trellis-coded modulation schemes, is addressed. Specifically, we combine Reed-Solomon (RS) codes with Multi-Phase Shift-Keying (

Modified Karatsuba multiplier for key equation solver in RS Code
Radioelectronics and Communications Systems, 2015Finite field arithmetics are often used in linear block codes such as BCH and Reed–Solomon codes and also in cryptographic algorithms. Finite field multipliers play an important role and consume a significant amount of area in VLSI design. This paper presents an improved generalized Karatsuba multiplier.

The Application of RS code in CCK Modulation Technology
2009 First International Conference on Information Science and Engineering, 2009RS code is a kind of linear block code. Due to its characteristics such as high capability in error correction, easy realization and so on, RS code has been widely applied in wireless communication systems. In this paper, the algorithms of RS encoding and decoding are introduced firstly, then they are applied to CCK(Complementary Code Keying ...

On the minimal interpolation problem and decoding RS codes
IEEE Transactions on Information Theory, 2000Summary: Some properties of the minimal interpolation problem are investigated, from which a simple proof of the validity of the Welch-Berlekamp algorithm is presented. A new key equation is derived that is closely related to the classical key equation of the syndrome-decoding algorithm and can be solved by the Welch-Berlekamp algorithm.

A Distributed Storage Algorithm Based on Cauchy RS Code
Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2013Data fault tolerance is a key technology in the field of distributed storage. In this paper, an algorithm to encode massive amounts of data and then distribute storage these data on each node in the data center is proposed, aiming at coping with the serious challenges in the protection of data fault tolerance.
