Implementation of Drug‐Induced Rhabdomyolysis and Acute Kidney Injury in Microphysiological System
A modular Muscle–Kidney proximal tubule‐on‐a‐chip integrates 3D skeletal muscle and renal proximal tubule tissues to model drug‐induced rhabdomyolysis and acute kidney injury. The coculture system enables dynamic tissue interaction, functional contraction monitoring, and quantification of nephrotoxicity, revealing drug side effect‐induced metabolic ...

Error control for reliable digital data transmission and storage systems [PDF]
A problem in designing semiconductor memories is to provide some measure of error control without requiring excessive coding overhead or decoding time.

This study investigates electromechanical PUFs that improve on traditional electric PUFs. The electron transport materials are coated randomly through selective ligand exchange. It produces multiple keys and a key with motion dependent on percolation and strain, and approaches almost ideal inter‐ and intra‐hamming distances.

An extended d(min) = 4 RS code [PDF]
A minimum distance d sub m - 4 extended Reed - Solomon (RS) code over GF (2 to the b power) was constructed. This code is used to correct any single byte error and simultaneously detect any double byte error. Features of the code; including fast encoding

Squaring permutation sequential decoding on normalbasis for RS codes
The authors present a new sequential decoding method for RS codes using a squaring permutation on a normal basis. The permutation provides m different sequences for bit-level soft decision sequential decoding. It is shown that the squaring permutation produces an improvement in performance with low complexity.

European Wireless 2019; 25th European Wireless Conference. Aarhus, Denmark [PDF]
This paper describes a new design of Reed-Solomon (RS) codes when using composite extension fields. Our ultimate goal is to provide codes that remain Maximum Distance Separable (MDS), but that can be processed at higher speeds in the encoder and decoder.

Vacuum‐based deposition is promising for perovskite solar cells to be successfully commercialized. However, co‐evaporation, the most common vapor phase deposition technique, suffers from very low deposition rates. In this work, we reveal that high deposition rates can lead to carbon flakes depositing into the perovskite absorber layers due to material ...

A simplified procedure for correcting both errors and erasures of a Reed-Solomon code using the Euclidean algorithm [PDF]
It is well known that the Euclidean algorithm or its equivalent, continued fractions, can be used to find the error locator polynomial and the error evaluator polynomial in Berlekamp's key equation needed to decode a Reed-Solomon (RS) code.
