Studies suggest that type 2 inflammatory diseases are driven by overactivation of the IL4/IL13 pathway, manifesting differently in distinct tissues. We performed quantitative analyses using several large independent datasets to explore the interrelation of type 2 inflammatory diseases based on co‐prevalence, genetic predispositions, and transcriptomic ...

The standard of spirometry in the RSA.
Standards for high-quality lung function testing have not yet been formally adopted in the RSA, despite the increase in the performance of spirometry. A study was undertaken to determine the standard of spirometry in clinical practice in this country. Forty-five spirometer users agreed to participate.

Toll‐like receptor 4 mediates lipopolysaccharide‐induced emesis
Background and Purpose Lipopolysaccharide (LPS) induces inflammation and sepsis through Toll‐like receptor 4 (TLR4) activation. Common laboratory animals do not exhibit emesis, but administration of LPS in piglets, cats, and dogs induces emesis via peripheral mechanisms.

This study investigates whether several AF2‐derived scores can predict functional scores and pathogenicity labels, and suggests that the root mean square deviation between the wild‐type and variant structures predicted by AlphaFold2 (ROWVA) may be the most effective predictor. This approach may also be applicable to other multimeric proteins.

The RSA Cryptography Processor [PDF]
In commercial applications, a minimum ciphering rate of 64 K bit/sec is required which will be the transmission rate of public digital networks. In contrast, the RSA method has a very slow ciphering rate particulary when using software implementations of the algorithm. The solution of this problem is a hardware implementation of the RSA algorithm.

Risk Factors for Falls in Patients on Hemodialysis: A 12‐Month Prospective Study
ABSTRACT Background Patients on hemodialysis have comorbidities and malnutrition and are subject to polypharmacy, which contributes to disability and sarcopenia. These conditions increase the risk of falls and are associated with fractures, morbidities, substantial costs, nursing home admissions, hospitalization, and mortality.

Probability References to Apply in the Detection of Anomalous Public Key Infrastructures
This article calculates the theoretical probability of finding repeated primes in a given sample of unbiased issued digital certificates. These values can be used as reference for developing a statistical procedure to audit and control the behavioral ...
