Complete genome sequence and phylogenetic analysis of megalocytivirus RSIV-Ku: A natural recombination infectious spleen and kidney necrosis virus

Archives of Virology, 2017
Megalocytiviruses are classified into three genotypes, infectious spleen and kidney necrosis virus (ISKNV), red seabream virus (RSIV), and turbo reddish body iridovirus (TRBIV), based on the major capsid protein and ATPase genes. However, only a few complete genome sequences have been obtained.

Multiple Passages of Grunt Fin Cells Persistently Infected with Red Seabream Iridovirus (RSIV) at 15ºC or 30ºC to Yield Uninfected Cells

Journal of Aquatic Animal Health, 2016
Abstract Red seabream iridovirus (RSIV), a member within genus Megalocytivirus (Iridoviridae), causes serious economic losses to marine fish aquaculture industry in East Asia. In this study, we established a Blue Striped Grunt Haemulon sciurus fin (grunt fin; GF) cell line persistently infected with RSIV (PI-GFRSIV) by subculturing GF ...

The role of the anti-σ factor RsiV in stress response in Clostridium difficile and Bacillus subtilis

2018
<p>Extra Cytoplasmic Function (ECF) σ factors are a diverse family of alternative σ factors that allow bacteria to sense and respond to changes in the environment. σV is an ECF σ factor found primarily in low GC Gram-positive bacteria and is required for lysozyme resistance in several opportunistic pathogens.

Immunological Prevention of an Emerging Red Sea Bream Iridovirus [RSIV] in Cage-Cultured Spotted Mandarin Siniperca Scherzeri in Dandong, Northeast China

Collective Journal of Virology
Red sea bream iridovirus [RSIV] is one of the most important causative agents in marine finfish industry, and RSIV was documented rarely in freshwater fish. Here, a novel RSIV, designated as Megalocyti-KD1201, was isolated and characterized from a natural mass mortality of cage-cultured spotted mandarin S.
