SARS‐CoV‐2 Spike Peptides Trigger Nociceptive Responses Through Spinal TLR4 Pathways

ABSTRACT Background Pain is a common neurological manifestation of COVID‐19, yet the mechanisms by which SARS‐CoV‐2 spike protein fragments contribute to nociceptive processing remain poorly understood. We investigated whether spike‐derived peptides directly activate spinal neuroimmune pathways involved in pain signalling.

Comparative Performance Analysis of Various Flat Plate Solar Collectors Incorporating Spiral and Square Arrangement of Circular Type Riser Tube

Three flat‐plate collectors with spiral and square coiled riser tubes were tested and it was found that the spiral type provides the best results with a thermal efficiency of 66.98% for a mass flow rate of 0.4 kg/min. Riser tube geometry is a key factor in optimizing flat‐plate collector output.

Intraday Functional PCA Forecasting of Cryptocurrency Returns

ABSTRACT We study the functional PCA (FPCA) forecasting method in application to functions of intraday returns on Bitcoin. We show that improved interval forecasts of future return functions are obtained when the conditional heteroscedasticity of return functions is taken into account.
