Entropy in the RST Model

open access: yes, 1994
The RST Model is given boundary term and Z-field so that it is well-posed and local. The Euclidean method is described for general theory and used to calculate the RST intrinsic entropy. The evolution of this entropy for the shockwave solutions is found and obeys a second law.

Outcrop and subsurface characterisation of a mixed tidal and wave‐influenced coastline (Triassic Red Beds, SE Spain)

open access: yesSedimentology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Paralic depositional systems are complex and heterogeneous sedimentary environments, presenting challenges for predicting reservoir architecture and connectivity. Their stratigraphic and facies variability arises from the dynamic interplay between fluvial, tidal and wave processes, and their sensitivity to sea‐level fluctuations, sediment ...

A Matter of Memory? Age‐Invariant Relative Clause Disambiguation and Memory Interference in Older Adults

open access: yesTopics in Cognitive Science, EarlyView.
Abstract Past research suggests that Working Memory plays a role in determining relative clause attachment bias. Disambiguation preferences may further depend on Processing Speed and explicit memory demands in linguistic tasks. Given that Working Memory and Processing Speed decline with age, older adults offer a way of investigating the factors ...

Exploring the impact of high rosuvastatin plasma exposure on new-onset diabetes mellitus: insights from machine learning-based prediction

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Medical Research
Background The association between rosuvastatin (RST) and the risk of new-onset diabetes mellitus (NODM) is controversial. Although the link between RST and NODM is still debated, there is a lack of effective strategies to predict and prevent potential ...

Prolonged restraint stress increases IL-6, reduces IL-10, and causes persistent depressive-like behavior that is reversed by recombinant IL-10.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2013
Altered inflammatory cytokine profiles are often observed in individuals suffering from major depression. Recent clinical work reports on elevated IL-6 and decreased IL-10 in depression.

Stac2 genetic deletion alters mouse chromaffin cells’ CaV channel composition, increases membrane excitability and reduces vesicle exocytosis

open access: yesThe Journal of Physiology, EarlyView.
Abstract figure legend Stac2 adaptor protein is expressed in neurons and endocrine cells. Using a global Stac2 knockout mouse model here we investigated the role of endogenous Stac2 in adrenal gland mouse chromaffin cell (MCC) excitability and catecholamine vesicle exocytosis.

Evaluating the Influence of Injury‐Induced Microstructural Variations on the Efficacy of a Diffusion MRI‐Derived Axon Diameter Surrogate

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, Volume 96, Issue 3, Page 1355-1364, September 2026.
ABSTRACT Purpose To investigate the utility of a recently demonstrated diffusion MRI derived axon diameter surrogate measure (∆D⟂) under pathologic conditions induced by a spinal cord injury model. Methods Contusion injuries were performed on the thoracic–lumbar spinal cord of adult male rats.

Total Chemical Synthesis of Interleukin‐15 and Interleukin‐2: Taming Protein Hydrophobicity and Aggregation by a Versatile Solubilizing Strategy

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, Volume 138, Issue 30, 20 July 2026.
A reducible solubilizing tag strategy (RST‐2.0) enables the synthesis, purification and ligation of difficult peptides while being readily removable just during folding, which overcomes the common challenges from protein hydrophobicity and aggregation. With this method, we achieved the first total synthesis of native and N‐glycosylated IL‐15 as well as
