Research on reliability and real-time of on-board computer based on RT-Linux

2021 IEEE 5th Information Technology,Networking,Electronic and Automation Control Conference (ITNEC), 2021
Reliability and real-time are extremely important indicators in the aerospace field. With the increasing complexity of nano satellite missions, research on the reliability and real-time of on-board computers has become very important. This paper uses AM5748 chip manufactured by Texas Instruments as the processor, which is equipped with RT-Linux for the

Real-time implementation of multi-rate sampling systems in RT-Linux environment

The Fourth International Conference on Control and Automation, 2003. ICCA. Final Program and Book of Abstracts., 2003
For real-time implementation of multi-rate sampling system, the position control of servo unit with real-time PID control algorithm-using RT-Linux thread program is considered. In the RT-Linux environment, effect of varying time-delays on performance and stability in the single-channel multi-rate hybrid system consisting of a continuous-time plant and ...

An evaluation of the POSIX trace standard implemented in RT-linux

2001 IEEE International Symposium on Performance Analysis of Systems and Software. ISPASS., 2005
As real-time applications become more complex, the availability of event tracing mechanisms becomes more important in order to perform run-time monitoring. The recent approved standard POSIX 1003.Iq defines a common application interface for trace management.

Experiences in implementing an energy-driven task scheduler in RT-Linux

Proceedings. Eighth IEEE Real-Time and Embedded Technology and Applications Symposium, 2003
Dynamic voltage scaling (DVS) is being increasingly used for power management in embedded systems. Energy is a scarce resource in embedded real-time systems and energy consumption must be carefully balanced against real-time responsiveness. We describe our experiences in implementing an energy driven task scheduler in RT-Linux.

Real-time synchronization between hard and soft tasks in RT-Linux

Proceedings Sixth International Conference on Real-Time Computing Systems and Applications. RTCSA'99 (Cat. No.PR00306), 2003
This paper presents the experience in adding a synchronization protocol to our architecture for flexible hard real-time systems. The architecture combines mandatory and optional components in a two-level tasking model. Mandatory and optional components share resources, and therefore synchronization is needed in order to maintain both the logical ...

RT-Linux Based Hard Real-Time Software Architecture for Unmanned Autonomous Helicopters

11th IEEE International Conference on Embedded and Real-Time Computing Systems and Applications (RTCSA'05), 2006
The UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle) performs various kinds of missions while performing autonomous flight navigation. In order to realize all functionalities of the UAV, the software part becomes a very complex hard real-time system because some hard real-time tasks, soft real-time tasks and non-real-time tasks are concurrently working together under a ...

A machine vision system of ball grid array inspection on RT-Linux OS

Proceedings of 2004 International Conference on the Business of Electronic Product Reliability and Liability (IEEE Cat. No.04EX809), 2004
In this paper, a machine vision system for ball grid array (BGA) inspection is proposed. The binocular vision system can provide enough geometrical information by an optical approach for monitoring the quality of solder balls. A new optical method for BGA lead coplanarity measurement has been proposed, whose feasibility was verified in theory.

Development of a CNC System for Multi-axis EDM Based on RT-Linux

2009 WRI World Congress on Software Engineering, 2009
This paper presents a new kind of multi-axis electro-discharge machining (EDM) computer numerical control (CNC) system which is based on RT Linux platform. Dual-kernel structure of EDM CNC System is proposed to realize real-time task and timesharing task separately.

An Adaptive Value-Based Scheduler and Its RT-Linux Implementation

2002
In dynamic real-time systems, value-based scheduling aims to achieve graceful degradation during overloads, in addition to maintaining a high schedulability during normal and underloads. The objective of this paper is twofold: (1) to propose an adaptive value-based scheduler for multiprocessor real-time systems aimed at maintaining a high system value ...
