Harnessing ferroptosis from multilayer defense networks to nanoplatforms for specific cancer therapy

open access: yesBMEMat, EarlyView.
Nanomaterials target metabolically‐regulated ferroptosis for cancer therapy. Iron‐based or alternative nanoplatforms integrate ferroptosis with chemotherapy, immunotherapy, or radiotherapy. They enable stimulus‐responsive therapies (photothermal, photodynamic, sonodynamic) activated by near‐infrared, light, or ultrasound, achieving potent synergistic ...

An all‐in‐one fucosylated gold nanocluster probe enables NIR‐II imaging and multi‐mechanistic therapy of acute kidney injury

open access: yesBMEMat, EarlyView.
This study developed a fucoside‐targeted gold nanocluster probe that enables early NIR‐II imaging and multi‐mechanistic therapy for acute kidney injury, effectively mitigating oxidative stress, modulating inflammatory responses, and inhibiting ferroptosis to improve renal outcomes. Abstract Acute kidney injury (AKI) remains a life‐threatening condition

Anode/Electrolyte Interfacial Engineering Toward Sustainable and Practical Solid‐State Metal‐Sulfur Batteries: A Prospective Review

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
Coordinated engineering of the anode, electrolyte, and interface underpins the rational design of next‐generation solid‐state metal‐sulfur batteries. Solid‐state metal‐sulfur batteries are emerging as a transformative energy storage platform with the potential to overcome the fundamental limitations of conventional flooded cells, particularly ...

Time‐ and Temperature‐Dependent Response of Acquired FV Inhibitors: Implications for Laboratory Diagnosis and Clinical Management

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Laboratory Analysis, EarlyView.
This in vitro workflow illustrates the time‐and temperature‐dependent behavior of acquired FV inhibitors. Patient plasma was centrifuged and serially diluted, followed by parallel incubation at room temperature and 37°C. Serial measurements of APTT mixing test and residual FV activity were recorded across incubation time points to monitor inhibitor ...

Renewable methacrylate resin for vat photopolymerization derived from post‐consumer polyester waste

open access: yesPolymer International, EarlyView.
End‐of‐life poly(ethylene terephthalate) was upcycled into a renewable methacrylate crosslinker using microwave‐assisted methacrylation and applied in vat photopolymerization. The recycled resin enabled high‐resolution 3D printing with tunable mechanical performance, highlighting a circular strategy to reduce fossil‐based photopolymer feedstocks ...

Nonthermal plasma approaches for combating implant‐associated infections: A compendious review

open access: yesVIEW, EarlyView.
Implant‐associated infections pose serious clinical challenges. Non‐thermal plasma (NTP) modifications overcome this bottleneck in distinct ways relative to traditional sterilization methods. Gas‐phase plasmas generate highly energetic species, UV radiation and reactive oxygen/nitrogen species (RONS), which alter the implant surface properties.

Tonoplast‐Localized ABCC Transporters Enhance Heterologous Production of the Antidiabetic Montbretin A and Its Analogues in Nicotiana benthamiana

open access: yesPlant Biotechnology Journal, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The plant‐derived specialized metabolite montbretin A (MbA) is under development as an improved treatment for Type 2 diabetes, a worldwide epidemic. MbA is an acylated flavonol glycoside so far only found in small amounts in montbretia (Crocosmia × crocosmiiflora) corms.

Molecular Chaperone Networks in Plants: Maintaining Proteostasis and Enhancing Stress Resilience for Crop Improvement

open access: yesPlant, Cell &Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Molecular chaperones play a central role in the plant proteostasis machinery by aiding the folding of nascent proteins, preventing aggregation, and repairing or degrading damaged proteins. These functions are especially essential during abiotic and biotic stress, which can destabilise cellular proteins and disrupt metabolic homoeostasis.

SbWRKY62 Coordinates With SbERF096 to Activate Pterostilbene Biosynthesis and Targets a Xylanase Inhibitor Protein for Anthracnose Resistance in Sorghum

open access: yesPlant, Cell &Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Sorghum anthracnose caused by Colletotrichum sublineola (C. sublineola) is a destructive disease leading to severe crop damages. Pterostilbene is a phytoalexin that contributes to defence responses in sorghum, but the transcriptional regulation of its biosynthesis remained poorly understood.

Longitudinal untargeted metabolomics of cognitive impairment in Parkinson's disease

open access: yesAlzheimer's &Dementia, Volume 22, Issue 10, October 2026.
Abstract INTRODUCTION Cognitive impairment is a common non‐motor symptom of Parkinson's disease (PD), yet the mechanism remains unclear. METHODS Longitudinal serum samples from PD patients in a community‐based case–control study were profiled, with cognition assessed by the Mini‐Mental State Examination at baseline and follow‐up.
