We describe a new family of clocked logic gates based on the resonant-tunneling diode (RTD). Pairs of RTDs form storage latches, and these are connected by networks consisting of field-effect transistors (FETs), saturated resistors, and RTDs. The design, operation, and expected performance of both a shift register and a matched filter using this logic ...

The “Serpentine” RTD Fluxgate Magnetometer
2023 IEEE Sensors Applications Symposium (SAS), 2023In this paper a new innovative fluxgate geometry has been characterized for the first time: the serpentine fluxgate. It has been obtained from a rod fluxgate with flexible microwire (CoFeSiB) folded in order to obtain two meanders at the center of the core.

A novel RTD-HEMT-RTD structure based on simulations
ISCAS'99. Proceedings of the 1999 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems VLSI (Cat. No.99CH36349), 2003DC characteristics of resonant tunneling diodes (RTDs) and resonant tunneling high electron mobility transistors (RTHEMTs) are simulated utilizing a new methodology of parameter extraction for RTD. Good agreement between simulation results and measurements is achieved. Based on the simulations, a RTD-HEMT-RTD structure is proposed.

On the implementation of RTD based CNNs
2004 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems (ISCAS), 2004Resonant tunnelling diodes (RTD's) have found various applications in high-speed digital and analog circuits due to their specific advantages associated with the unique folded-back negative differential resistance (NDR) I-V characteristics. As a result of the nonlinearity of RTD's, cellular neural networks (CNNs) designed with RTD's can achieve higher ...
