Clinical Genetics, EarlyView.This study expands the clinical spectrum of SMARCA4 by describing a novel phenotype in three unrelated individuals with truncating variants. Distinct from Coffin–Siris syndrome and rhabdoid tumor predisposition, this new association is characterized by ocular malformations, specifically microphthalmia and coloboma.

Immunology, EarlyView.This study shows that 8 weeks of high‐intensity interval training (HIIT) modulate inflammasome‐related gene expression in individuals with obesity. HIIT increased AIM2, MEFV, CARD16 and CARD18 expression, with CARD16 upregulation supporting reduced inflammation through inhibition of caspase‐1 activation and lower IL‐1β levels.
