Shallow-transfer rule-based machine translation for Czech to Polish
This article describes the development of an Open Source shallow-transfer machine translation system from Czech to Polish in the Apertium platform. It gives details of the methods and resources used in contructing the system. Although the resulting system has quite a high error rate, it is still competitive with other systems.

Translating Step-by-Step: Decomposing the Translation Process for Improved Translation Quality of Long-Form Texts [PDF]
In this paper we present a step-by-step approach to long-form text translation, drawing on established processes in translation studies. Instead of viewing machine translation as a single, monolithic task, we propose a framework that engages language models in a multi-turn interaction, encompassing pre-translation research, drafting, refining, and ...

Self‐organized Criticality in Neuromorphic Nanowire Networks With Tunable and Local Dynamics
Memristive nanowire networks (NWNs) are shown to be electrically tunable to a critical state where specific local dynamics evaluated by multiterminal characterization are exploited as feature selection in nonlinear transformation (NLT) tasks.
