Rule Based Machine Translation from English to Malayalam
2009 International Conference on Advances in Computing, Control, and Telecommunication Technologies, 2009Here we propose a method for translating English sentences to Malayalam. This machine translation is done by rule based method. The core process is mediated by bilingual dictionaries and rules for converting source language structures into target language structures.

Towards achieving a delicate blending between rule-based translator and neural machine translator
Neural Computing and Applications, 2021Popular translators such as Google, Bing, etc., perform quite well when translating among the popular languages such as English, French, etc.; however, they make elementary mistakes when translating the low-resource languages such as Bengali, Arabic, etc. Google uses Neural Machine Translation (NMT) approach to build its multilingual translation system.

Rule Based Machine Translation System from English to Tamil
2014 World Congress on Computing and Communication Technologies, 2014The main goal of this research is to develop English-Tamil machine translation system using rule-based approaches. For rule based approach, considering the structural difference between English and Tamil languages, syntax transfer based methodology is adopted for translation.

Rule Based Machine Translation: English to Malayalam: A Survey
2015In this modern era, it is a necessity that people communicate with other parts of world without any language barriers. Machine translation system can be very useful tool in this context. The main purpose of a machine translation system is to convert text of one natural language to a different natural language without losing its meaning. The translation

English to Sanskrit machine translation system: a rule-based approach
International Journal of Advanced Intelligence Paradigms, 2012The development of machine translation (MT) system for ancient language such as Sanskrit is a much more fascinating and challenging task. Due to lack of linguistic community, there are no wide works accomplished in Sanskrit translation while it is national language by virtue of its importance in India's cultural heritage.

Apertium: a free/open-source platform for rule-based machine translation
Machine Translation, 2011Apertium is a free/open-source platform for rule-based machine translation. It is being widely used to build machine translation systems for a variety of language pairs, especially in those cases (mainly with related-language pairs) where shallow transfer suffices to produce good quality translations, although it has also proven useful in assimilation ...

Combined Technology of Lexical Selection in Rule-Based Machine Translation
2017This paper describes process of solving the task of lexical selection for English-Kazakh (and vice versa) machine translation system based on combined technology. Proposed combined technology is including the constraint grammar model and maximum entropy model for more effective solution of the problem of lexical selection for English-Kazakh (and vice ...

Rule-based reordering spaces in statistical machine translation
2014In Statistical Machine Translation (SMT), the constraints on wordreorderings have a great impact on the set of potential translations that areexplored. Notwithstanding computationnal issues, the reordering spaceof a SMT system needs to be designed with great care: if a largersearch space is likely to yield better translations, it may also leadto more ...
