An approach to Lao-English rule based machine translation

2015 7th International Conference on Knowledge and Smart Technology (KST), 2015
This paper presents an approach to Lao-English rule based machine translation. In our approach, we start by modifying the Lao word segmented algorithm to mark the name entities part, which will be reordered according to its type later. Then, using the transfer-based strategy, the sentence is analyzed to build the source dependency structure, which is ...

Rule Based Machine Translation: English to Malayalam: A Survey

2015
In this modern era, it is a necessity that people communicate with other parts of world without any language barriers. Machine translation system can be very useful tool in this context. The main purpose of a machine translation system is to convert text of one natural language to a different natural language without losing its meaning. The translation

ModifiedECS (mECS) Algorithm for Madurese-Indonesian Rule-Based Machine Translation

2022 International Conference of Science and Information Technology in Smart Administration (ICSINTESA), 2022
The Madurese language is a local Indonesian culture that needs to be preserved. The morphology of Madurese words is unique, and there are several forms of words: affixation, root word, degree modifier, and reduplication word. Each word has a pattern that

Analysis of rule-based machine translation and neural machine translation approaches for translating portuguese to LIBRAS [PDF]

open access: possibleProceedings of the 25th Brazillian Symposium on Multimedia and the Web, 2019
In this paper, we propose a rule-based machine translator for Brazilian Portuguese to Brazilian Sign Language translation. This translator was implemented using the part of speech tagging and lemmatization techniques with implementations in Aelius and CoGrOO, respectively.

Morphological analysis for rule based machine translation

2011 International Conference on Semantic Technology and Information Retrieval, 2011
The Arabic language is a Semitic language and it exhibits systematic but complex morphological structure based on root-pattern design. The aim of the present paper is to propose a transfer-based approach using morphological analysis which induces a syntactic symmetry and morphology to improve machine translation system between Arabic and English.

Vietnamese-Thai machine translation using rule-based

2017 9th International Conference on Knowledge and Smart Technology (KST), 2017
This paper presents a rule-based Vietnamese-Thai machine translation (VTMT) system. Vietnamese text is input and segmented to a set of sentences through the use of punctuation marks. The output sentence is segmented into a sequence of words using a longest syllable matching algorithm together with named entity recognition (NER) rules.
