Geometric properties of Smarandache ruled surfaces generated by integral binormal curves in Euclidean 3-space

open access: yesPartial Differential Equations in Applied Mathematics
This paper investigates the geometric properties of Smarandache ruled surfaces generated by integral binormal curves in the Euclidean 3-space E3. Specifically, we study four types of Smarandache ruled surfaces: the tn, tb, nb, and tnb surfaces, each ...

Fabricable Discretized Ruled Surfaces

open access: yesACM Transactions on Graphics
We present a method to automatically approximate a given surface with a small set of patches, each being a developable ruled surface featuring long-ruling lines. These construction primitives are attractive for their inherent ease of fabrication by cutting and folding inextensible materials and for their favo rable structural properties.

Continuous Stiffness Graded Metal–Ceramic Femoral Stems: UMAT‐Based Design and Finite Element Assessment

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Functionally graded metal–ceramic femoral stems are engineered through continuous UMAT‐based stiffness tailoring, eliminating discrete material interfaces while enhancing biomechanical compatibility. Low‐index power‐law gradation optimizes load transfer, reduces stress shielding, and controls implant–bone micromotion, highlighting a materials‐design ...

Intermediate Resistive State in Wafer‐Scale Vertical MoS2 Memristors Through Lateral Silver Filament Growth for Artificial Synapse Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In MOCVD MoS2 memristors, a current compliance‐regulated Ag filament mechanism is revealed. The filament ruptures spontaneously during volatile switching, while subsequent growth proceeds vertically through the MoS2 layers and then laterally along the van der Waals gaps during nonvolatile switching.

Some foliations on ruled surfaces II

open access: yes, 1995
In the previous paper [Sa5] entitled ""Some foliations on ruled surfaces"", we classified ruled surfaces with foliations on them leaving a curve invariant and having no singularities on the curve. There are three types of them.

Strain‐Programmable Luminescent Adhesive Patch With Tartrazine‐Mediated Optical Skin Clearing for Photochemical Tissue Bonding

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We propose a suture‐complementary approach that integrates optical skin clearing with a strain‐programmable luminescent adhesive patch. Hyaluronic acid promotes transdermal delivery of tartrazine to improve optical clearing and stabilizes its interaction with a photosensitizer. Optical clearing increases the penetration depth of visible light into skin,

Mechanical Behavior and Fracture Mechanisms of MXene/PVDF Nanocomponsites: In Situ Characterization and Multiscale Analysis

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Multiscale experiments and modeling reveal how Ti3C2Tx MXene nanosheets reinforce PVDF nanocomposites. An optimal MXene loading (∼1 wt.%) nearly doubles tensile strength through efficient stress transfer, flake alignment, and crack‐deflection mechanisms, transforming ductile polymer behavior into a controlled multi‐stage fracture pathway which aligns ...

Alternative View of Inextensible Flows of Curves and Ruled Surfaces via Alternative Frame

open access: yesMathematics
In this paper, we present the evolutions of ruled surfaces generated by the principal normal, the principal normal’s derivative, and the Darboux vector fields along a space curve that are the elements of an alternative frame.

Optoelectronic Synaptic Devices Using Molecular Telluride Phase‐Change Inks for Three‐Factor Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Optoelectronic synaptic devices based on solution‐processed molecular telluride GST‐225 phase‐change inks are demonstrated for three‐factor learning. A global optical signal broadcast through a silicon waveguide induces non‐volatile conductance updates exclusively in locally electrically flagged memristors.

Lorentzian Beltrami-Euler formula and generalized Lorentzian Lamarle formila in R_1^n

open access: yesLe Matematiche, 2009
In this paper, the sectional curvature of non-degenerate tangent sections of time-like ruled surface with the central ruled surface in n-dimensional Minkowski space, R_1^n  is studied. The relationship between normal sectional curvature and the principal
