This study aimed to investigate the effects of cellulase and Lactobacillus plantarum on the silage quality, in situ digestibility, and microbial communities of apple pomace silage. The combined supplementation of cellulase and Lactobacillus plantarum in apple pomace silage improved fermentation quality and enhanced rumen utilization efficiency.

Seven hundred and ninety-seven metagenome-assembled genomes from the goat rumen during early life
The rumen microbiome plays an important role in providing energy and protein to the host. Manipulation of rumen microbiome during early life may have a long-term beneficial effect on the health, growth performance, and feed efficiency of ruminants.

A Metagenome‐Assembled Genome Catalog From the Global Ruminant Microbiomes
The Ruminant Gastrointestinal MAG Catalog (RGMC) is a comprehensive global resource offering 40,812 strain‐level genomes across 53 bacterial and 4 archaeal classes. It greatly surpasses prior efforts in scale and diversity, serving as an essential foundation for research in ruminant nutrition, microbial function, and methane mitigation.

Our paper systematically reviews the intestinal structure, function, and microbiota of ostriches, along with strategies for improving their gut health. We analyze how these factors collectively influence intestinal homeostasis and ostrich welfare, emphasizing probiotics as a promising intervention to enhance gut health, boost population well‐being, and

Dietary fiber (DF) modulates meat quality through the gut‐muscle axis by reshaping gut microbiota, improving intestinal integrity, reducing inflammation, and regulating muscle metabolism. These mechanisms influence muscle fiber characteristics and post‐mortem biochemistry, thereby enhancing tenderness, juiciness, color, flavor, and nutritional value of

Abstract Understanding the development of the calf rumen microbiome is important in developing manipulation strategies to improve efficiency as the animal ages. We hypothesized that the cow maternal microbiome would influence the colonization of the calf rumen microbiome. Our objective was to relate the microbiomes of the cow rumen fluid
