Non-thermal processes in bowshocks of runaway stars. Application to Zeta Oph [PDF]
Runaway massive stars are O- and B-type stars with high spatial velocities with respect to the interstellar medium. These stars can produce bowshocks in the surrounding gas.

Oxide‐Free Titanium Coatings by Wire Arc Spraying in a Silane‐Doped Inert Atmosphere
A silane‐doped argon atmosphere enables the production of oxide‐free titanium coatings via twin‐wire arc spraying at ambient pressure. This innovative approach eliminates residual oxygen, creating process conditions that prevent oxidation and nitride formation.

Quasi-linear analysis of the extraordinary electron wave destabilized by runaway electrons
Runaway electrons with strongly anisotropic distributions present in post-disruption tokamak plasmas can destabilize the extraordinary electron (EXEL) wave.

A hierarchical porous copper current collector is fabricated via three‐dimensional printing combined with pressureless sintering to stabilize lithium metal anodes. The interconnected architecture lowers local current density, guides uniform Li deposition within pores, and suppresses dendrite growth.

Runaway Electron Control in FTU
Experimental results on the position and current control of disruption generated runaway electrons (RE) in FTU are presented. A scanning interferometer diagnostic has been used to analyze the time evolution of the RE beam radial position and its instabilities.

INSTABILITIES DUE TO RUNAWAY ELECTRONS
In this paper, the effect of acceleration of runaway electrons on the microscopic instabilities is discussed. The result shows that the mechanism of instabilities is no longer a simple wave-particle resonant effect. When the resonant velocity is far away from the boundaries of the velocity region of runaway electrons, the growth rate is not ...
