Response of Gut Microbiota to Metabolite Changes Induced by Endurance Exercise

open access: yesFrontiers in Microbiology, 2018
A few animal studies have shown that wheel running could reverse an unhealthy status by shifting the gut microbial composition, but no investigations have studied the effect of endurance running, such as marathon running, on human gut microbial ...

Mycobacterial cell division arrest and smooth‐to‐rough envelope transition using CRISPRi‐mediated genetic repression systems

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
CRISPRI‐mediated gene silencing and phenotypic exploration in nontuberculous mycobacteria. In this Research Protocol, we describe approaches to control, monitor, and quantitatively assess CRISPRI‐mediated gene silencing in M. smegmatis and M. abscessus model organisms.

A comparative study on ecological risk assessment of some potentially toxic elements accumulation in surface sediment of stagnant and running water ecosystems in Meriç delta wetland, Turkish Thrace [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the Serbian Chemical Society
This study determined arsenic, chromium, cadmium, copper, zinc, nickel and lead concentrations in the sediment of the lake and river and evaluated their ecological risk profile and compared the ecological risk profile of some potentially toxic elements ...

Nuclear pore links Fob1‐dependent rDNA damage relocation to lifespan control

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Damaged rDNA accumulates at a specific perinuclear interface that couples nucleolar escape with nuclear envelope association. Nuclear pores at this site help inhibit Fob1‐induced rDNA instability. This spatial organization of damage handling supports a functional link between nuclear architecture, rDNA stability, and replicative lifespan in yeast.

基于行驶仿真试验的行星减速机动力学仿真

open access: yesJixie chuandong, 2006
The static strength theory applied in the design process of the planetary reducer can’t reflect the dynamic loads suffered by it,so the faults of the planetary reducer are more than the imagination in running process. In order to solve the problem ...

A light‐triggered Time‐Resolved X‐ray Solution Scattering (TR‐XSS) workflow with application to protein conformational dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering captures how proteins change shape in real time under near‐native conditions. This article presents a practical workflow for light‐triggered TR‐XSS experiments, from data collection to structural refinement. Using a calcium‐transporting membrane protein as an example, the approach can be broadly applied to study ...

Exon 7 splicing of ERα predicts poor prognosis and increases phenotypic heterogeneity in luminal a subtype breast cancer

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
ERα splice variant ERα∆7 lacks the C‐terminus, and its expression may change phenotypes of breast cancers. Our results showed that ERα∆7 is found in the luminal A subtype, and elevated ERα∆7 levels are linked to improved cell survival with lower proliferation and migration.

Dynamic Inspection System for Wheel Profile of High-speed Railway Vehicles

open access: yes机车电传动, 2017
Measuring wheel profile parameters is very important for the safety of running trains. Inspection of wheel profile parameters with laser light image was the mainstream technology.

Force-Velocity Profile in Middle- and Long-Distance Athletes: Sex Effect and Impact on Endurance Performance Determinants

open access: yesApplied Sciences
Background: Muscle strength plays a critical role in the performance of middle- and long-distance athletes. However, the vertical force–velocity (F–V) profile has not been studied in this population.
