Ruthenium-Based Heterocyclic Carbene-Coordinated Olefin Metathesis Catalysts [PDF]

open access: yesChemical Reviews, 2010
The fascinating story of olefin (or alkene) metathesis (eq 1) began almost five decades ago, when Anderson and Merckling reported the first carbon-carbon double-bond rearrangement reaction in the titanium-catalyzed polymerization of norbornene.

Ruthenium Antimetastatic Agents

Current Topics in Medicinal Chemistry, 2004
NAMI-A, i. e. (imH)[trans-RuCl(4)(dmso-S)(im)] (im = imidazole, dmso = dimethylsulfoxide), is a Ru(III) complex that, after extensive preclinical investigations that evidenced its remarkable and specific activity against metastases, has recently and successfully completed a Phase I trial (first ruthenium complex ever to reach clinical testing).

Ruthenium-coated ruthenium oxide nanorods

Applied Physics Letters, 2004
The role of ruthenium and its oxides in catalysis, electrochemistry, and electronics is becoming increasingly important because of the high thermal and chemical stability, low resistivity, and unique redox properties of this metallic system. We report an observation of RuO2 nanorods decorated with nanometer size Ru metal clusters.

81. Ruthenium pentafluoride and ruthenium oxytetrafluoride

Journal of the Chemical Society (Resumed), 1963
The preparation of ruthenium pentafluoride and oxytetrafluoride is described. The vapor pressures were measured by a static method, a diaphragm gage of high sensitivity being used. The physical constants, heats of vaporization, and entropies of vaporization were derived from the vaporpressure data.
