μ-Pyrazine-2,5-dicarboxylato-bis[chlorido(η6-p-cymene)ruthenium(II)] tert-butanol disolvate

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section E, 2008
A new tert-butanol solvate of [{(iPrC6H4Me)RuCl}2{μ-2,5-pyz(COO)2}] (pyz = pyrazine) has been crystallized and structurally characterized. The solvate, [Ru2(C10H14)2(C6H2N2O4)Cl2]·2C4H10O, contains one half-molecule of the ruthenium(II) complex

Detection of Protein–Protein Interactions in Escherichia coli With Single Molecule Sensitivity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This article describes a regulatory circuit in Escherichia coli able to detect protein–protein interactions with exquisite sensitivity. The interaction between two hybrid proteins fused to Bordetella pertussis adenylate cyclase and its activator calmodulin triggers a potent cyclic AMP signaling cascade.

Ruthenium-Catalyzed α‑Olefination of Nitriles Using Secondary Alcohols

open access: yes, 2018
Ruthenium(II) pincer-catalyzed α-olefination of nitriles is reported. This simple protocol provides a transformation for the catalytic synthesis of β-disubstituted vinyl nitriles using secondary alcohols.

N, S Co‐Doped Carbon Quantum Dots‐Riboflavin Composite Photosensitizers for Enhanced Iontophoresis‐Assisted Corneal Cross‐Linking

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study explores the use of N, S co‐doped carbon quantum dots (NS‐CQDs) as carriers for riboflavin, creating NS‐CQDs‐RF composite photosensitizers. These composites improve riboflavin absorption, enhance ROS generation efficiency, and preserve corneal epithelium integrity.

Conversion of oxido-bridged dinuclear ruthenium complex to dicationic dinitrosyl ruthenium complex using proton and nitric oxide: completion of NO reduction cycle. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
The hydroxido-bridged dinuclear ruthenium complex 4, which is supported by Tp ligands, has been prepared from protonation of the oxido-bridged dinuclear ruthenium complex 3.

Biomimetic Ru‐Mn Nanozyme with Cascade Catalytic Activity Attenuates Secondary Brain Injury in Intracerebral Hemorrhage

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Ru–Mn composite nanozymes are engineered to mimic dual‐enzyme cascade catalysis, enabling efficient ROS clearance and neuroinflammation suppression. In collagenase‐ and autologous blood‐induced ICH mouse models, intranasal and intravenous administration reduced hematoma volume, preserved BBB integrity, and improved neurological recovery.

Mitochondria and Neuromast Tagging With Fluorescent Gallium‐Triapine Analogues: In Cellulo MP FLIM and Zebrafish Live Imaging

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Fluorescent BODIPY‐conjugated thiosemicarbazone ligands and their Ga(III), In(III), and Fe(III) complexes, inspired by Triapine, are developed as theranostic agents. Multiphoton FLIM and confocal microscopy in cancer cells and zebrafish reveal real‐time uptake, mitochondrial localisation, and whilst spectroscopic assays indicated preserved complex ...
