Effects of a Ruthenium Schiff Base Complex on Glucose Homeostasis in Diet-Induced Pre-Diabetic Rats

open access: yesMolecules, 2018
Pre-diabetes is a condition that precedes type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) that is characterised by elevated glycated haemoglobin (HbA1c). The management of pre-diabetes includes the combination of dietary and pharmacological interventions to increase ...

Ruthenium-Catalyzed Selective Hydroboration of Nitriles and Imines

open access: yes, 2016
Ruthenium-catalyzed hydroboration of nitriles and imines is attained using pinacolborane with unprecedented catalytic efficiency. Chemoselective hydroboration of nitriles over esters is also demonstrated. A simple [Ru(p-cymene)Cl2]2 complex (1) is used

A Q‐Learning Algorithm to Solve the Two‐Player Zero‐Sum Game Problem for Nonlinear Systems

open access: yesInternational Journal of Adaptive Control and Signal Processing, Volume 39, Issue 3, Page 566-581, March 2025.
A Q‐learning algorithm to solve the two‐player zero‐sum game problem for nonlinear systems. ABSTRACT This paper deals with the two‐player zero‐sum game problem, which is a bounded L2$$ {L}_2 $$‐gain robust control problem. Finding an analytical solution to the complex Hamilton‐Jacobi‐Issacs (HJI) equation is a challenging task.

Revisiting Stability Criteria in Ball‐Milled High‐Entropy Alloys: Do Hume–Rothery and Thermodynamic Rules Equally Apply?

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, Volume 27, Issue 6, March 2025.
The stability criteria affecting the formation of high‐entropy alloys, particularly focusing in supersaturated solid solutions produced by mechanical alloying, are analyzed. Criteria based on Hume–Rothery rules are distinguished from those derived from thermodynamic relations. The formers are generally applicable to mechanically alloyed samples.

Ruthenium-Mediated Regio- and Stereoselective Alkenylation of Pyridine

open access: yes, 2016
A novel alkenylation reaction of pyridine is developed. Heating a cationic ruthenium vinylidene complex [CpRu(CCHR)(PPh3)2]PF6 in pyridine at 100−125 °C for 24 h affords (E)-2-alkenylpyridine.
