RUTHENIUM(II) COMPLEXES WITH POLYDENTATE PHOSPHINES

Journal of Coordination Chemistry, 1977
Abstract Ruthenium(II) complexes of C6 H5 P[CH2 · CH2 · P(C6 H5)]2 triphos, (C6 H5)2 · P · CH2 · CH2 · P(C6 H5) · CH2 · CH2 · P(C6H5 · CH5 · CH2 · P(C6H5)2 tetraphos-1 and P[CH2 · CH2 · P(C6H5)]3 tetraphos-2 are reported. The treatment of RuCl2 (PPh3)3 with triphos, tetraphos-2(tet-2) and tetraphos-l(tet-l), in benzene solution resulted in the ...

Amidophosphine complexes of ruthenium (II)

2009
The preparation and reactivity of ruthenium(II) complexes that incorporate the chelating amidophosphine ligands [NPN] (where [NPN] = PhP(CH2SiMe2NPh)2) or [P2N2 ] (where [P2N2 ] = PhP(CH2SiMe2NSiMe2CH2)2PPh) are presented. The reaction of the dilithium salt [P2N2]Li2(S) (S = 1,4-dioxane) with the ruthenium starting material [RuCl2(cod)]x (cod = 1,5 ...

RUTHENIUM (II) COMPLEXES IN CATALYTIC OXIDATION

Journal of Coordination Chemistry, 2001
Abstract Ruthenium (II) complexes of the type RuL(CO)2Cl2, [RuL(CO)2L− 2]2+ and [RuL(CO)2Cl L′]+ [L = bipyridine (bpy), phenanthroline (phen), biquinoline (biq) and L′ = pyridine (py), 4-chloropyridine (Cl-py), 4-methoxypyridine (MeO-py)] were synthesized from [Ru(CO)2Cl2]n and L, to produce the intermediate RuL(CO)2Cl2 followed by hydrolysis and ...

Soluble (Phthalocyaninato)ruthenium(II) Phosphane Complexes

Chemische Berichte, 1993
AbstractHitherto unknown ruthenium phthalocyanine complexes with phosphane ligands – PcRu(PEt2Ph)2 (1) and PcRu(PPh3)2 (2) – soluble in common organic solvents were prepared. Two methods were used for their synthesis: 1) Reaction of phthalonitrile with [Ru2Cl3(PEt2Ph)6]Cl in n‐pentanol in the presence of 1,8‐diazabicyclo[5.4.0]undec‐7‐ene (DBU) and 2 ...

Schiff-base complexes of ruthenium(II)

Journal of the Chemical Society, Dalton Transactions, 1978
The interaction of dichlorotris(triphenylphosphine)ruthenium(II) with the sodium salts of various Schiff bases leads to complexes of the type trans-RuL(PPh3)2 for the quadridentate bifunctional ligands and RuL2(PPh3)2 for the bifunctional ligands.Interaction of the chloro-carbonyls, {Ru(CO)2Cl2}n or {Ru(CO)3Cl2}3, with the sodium salt of NN ...

Carbonyl ammine complexes of ruthenium(II)

Canadian Journal of Chemistry, 1969
A series of carbonyl tetrammine and pentammine complexes of ruthenium(II) has been prepared. The compounds have been characterized by analytical techniques and by the reactions they undergo. Some carbonyl triammine and nitrogen tetrammine compounds are also reported.

Disulphidothionitrate nitrosyl complexes of ruthenium(II)

Inorganica Chimica Acta, 1987
Abstract The complexes Ru(NO)X3L2 (X = Cl or Br; L = PPh3 or AsPh3) react with heptasulfurimide (S7NH) in dimethylformamide to afford disulphidothionitrate (S3N−) complexes Ru(NO)(S3N)X2L. The reactions of Ru(NO)X3·2H2O (X = Cl, I) with S7NH in methanol produce six coordinated {RuNO}6 complexes Ru(NO)(S3N)2X.

Ruthenium(II) complexes of 3,4-dimethylphosphacymantrene

Polyhedron, 1994
Abstract A series of RuCl2 complexes of 3,4-dimethylphosphacymantrene (L) have been synthesized. Their structures were established on the basis of 1H, 13C, 31P NMR and IR spectroscopy. Two of them, trans-[RuCl2(L)4] and cis,cis,trans-[RuCl2(CO)2(L)2] were characterized by X-ray crystal structure analysis, and show the ligands L to bond via normal P ...

Novel Ruthenium(II) Schiff Base Complexes

Synthesis and Reactivity in Inorganic and Metal-Organic Chemistry, 1989
Abstract Schiff bases derived from aromatic aldehydes/ketones and S-benzyldithiocarbazate react with RuHC1 (CO)(PPh3)3 and RuH2(CO)(PPh3)3 to yield [RuX(CO)(PPh3)2(Schiff base] (X = H, C1). The new complexes have been characterised by IR, 1H NMR and UV spectroscopy.

Bis(2,2′bipyridine) ruthenium(II) complexes

Journal of Inorganic and Nuclear Chemistry, 1981
Abstract A reinvestigation of the photolysis of [Ru(bipy)3](NCSe)2 in ethanol under dinitrogen has failed to give the previously reported [Ru(N3)2bipy2] but, under appropriate conditions, may yield the complex [Ru(NCO)2bipy2].
