Brand Equity and Debt Diversification

ABSTRACT This study examines how brand equity influences the diversity of firms’ debt structures. We propose that brand equity, by signaling larger and more stable future cash flows and greater product market awareness, alters the fundamental trade‐offs that drive optimal debt type diversity.

Cyberattacks on Small Banks and the Impact on Local Banking Markets

Abstract Cyberattacks on small banks have direct and spillover effects in local markets. Following successful cyberattacks, hacked small banks experience a decline in deposit growth rates. This effect of cyberattacks is not observed in hacked large banks.
