New Fixed Point Results for Fractal Generation in Jungck Noor Orbit with s-Convexity

open access: yesJournal of Function Spaces, 2015
We establish new fixed point results in the generation of fractals (Julia sets, Mandelbrot sets, and Tricorns and Multicorns for linear or nonlinear dynamics) by using Jungck Noor iteration with s-convexity.

Soft Skins With Reversible Thickness Morphing: Materials, Mechanisms, and Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Evolution of electronic skin (e‐skin) technologies toward adaptive, multifunctional soft skins. Phase I highlights early rigid and discrete sensory interfaces. Phase II shows the transition toward flexible, stretchable, and large‐area e‐skin. Phase III captures the emergence of computational e‐skin.

On the Convexity of News Vendor Games [PDF]

open access: yes
This study considers a simple newsvendor situation that consists of n retailers, all selling the same item with common purchasing costs and common selling prices.Groups of retailers might increase their expected joint profit by inventory centralization ...

S-convexity (Foundations for Analysis) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
In this piece of work, we start building some foundational theory about S−convexity (sets and points). We also define S−convex generaliza-tions (for more dimensions, functions).

Integral inequalities for (Orlicz, Breckner) co-ordinated convex functions on rectangles

open access: yesAnnals of the West University of Timisoara: Mathematics and Computer Science, 2015
The concept of (Orlicz, Breckner) co-ordinated (s, σ)-convexity is introduced for two variables real functions. Upper and lower sharp integral boundary properties of Hermite-Hadamard type are proved on rectangles.

Phase Diagrams Enable Solid‐State Battery Design

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Batteries are non‐equilibrium devices with inherent thermodynamic driving forces to react at interfaces, regardless of kinetics or operating conditions. Chemical potential mismatches across interfaces are dissipated via interfacial reactions. In this work, it is illustrated how phase diagrams and chemical potential maps predict degradation pathways but

Convexity of Bertrand oligopoly TU-games with differentiated products [PDF]

open access: yes
In this article we consider Bertrand oligopoly TU-games with differentiated products. We assume that the demand system is Shubik's (1980) and that firms operate at a constant and identical marginal and average cost. First, we show that the alpha and beta-

A Note on Shapley's convex measure games [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
L. S. Shapley, in his paper 'Cores of Convex Games', introduces Convex Measure Games, those that are induced by a convex function on R, acting over a measure on the coalitions.

A Q-Convexity Vector Descriptor for Image Analysis [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Shape representation is a main problem in computer vision, and shape descriptors are widely used for image analysis. In this paper, based on the previous work Balázs, P., Brunetti, S.: A New Shape Descriptor Based on a Q-convexity Measure, Lecture Notes

Recent Advances of Slip Sensors for Smart Robotics

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
This review summarizes recent progress in robotic slip sensors across mechanical, electrical, thermal, optical, magnetic, and acoustic mechanisms, offering a comprehensive reference for the selection of slip sensors in robotic applications. In addition, current challenges and emerging trends are identified to advance the development of robust, adaptive,
