Extraction of Corn Plant Phenotypic Parameters with Keypoint Detection and Stereo Images

open access: yesAgronomy
Corn is a global crop that requires the breeding of superior varieties. A crucial aspect of the breeding process is the accurate extraction of phenotypic parameters from corn plants.

Interrogating the immune landscape of microsatellite stable RAS‐mutated colon cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
COLOSSUS project RAS‐mutated MSS colon cancer study explored transcriptomics and immune cell density by immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunoscore (IS), ISIC/TuLIS scores, mutation counts, and detected different prevalences but similar microenvironment composition across immune markers with clinical relevance for future immunotherapy combination ...

Research on Parameter Prediction Model of S-Shaped Inlet Based on FCM-NDAPSO-RBF Neural Network

open access: yesAerospace
To address the inefficiencies of traditional numerical simulations and the high cost of experimental validation in the aerodynamic–stealth integrated design of S-shaped inlets for aero-engines, this study proposes a novel parameter prediction model based

IMPDH inhibition enhances cytarabine efficacy in SAMHD1‐expressing leukaemia cells via guanine nucleotide depletion

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.

A second look at string-inspired models for proton-proton scattering via Pomeron exchange

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2018
We re-examine a string dual model for elastic proton-proton scattering via Pomeron exchange. We argue that the method of “Reggeizing” a propagator to take into account an entire trajectory of exchanged particles can be generalized, in particular by ...

Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

Inhaled Xenon Washout as a Biomarker of Alzheimer’s Disease

open access: yesDiagnostics, 2018
Biomarkers have the potential to aid in the study of Alzheimer’s disease (AD); unfortunately, AD biomarker values often have a high degree of overlap between healthy and AD individuals.

Establishment of a humanized patient‐derived xenograft mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer for preclinical evaluation of combination immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

A New Parameter-Changing Integral ZNN Model With Nonlinear Activation for Solving Inequality Constraint Time-Varying Quadratic Programming

open access: yesIEEE Access
The conventional zeroing neural network (ZNN) model faces significant challenges in handling time-varying noise, with its convergence speed being highly sensitive to initial conditions.

Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.
