On Peculiarities of $S$-Parameter Measurements

IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement, 2005
Extracting quantities, such as the propagation factor or the characteristic impedance of a transmission line based on measured S-parameters, can be more involved than expected. Experience teaches that even if the S-parameter measurements look smooth and are of good quality, the derived quantities can contain large spikes that tend to grow when ...

Measurement technique for the extraction of differential S-parameters from single-ended S-parameters

27th International Spring Seminar on Electronics Technology: Meeting the Challenges of Electronics Technology Progress, 2004., 2005
With the increasing implementation of communication devices and systems in the RF/low microwave ranges, along with the usage of differential signaling schemes, it has become necessary to develop practical methods to suitably characterize the operation of these devices. This paper describes a method of determining the four-port differential S-parameters

Increasing S Parameter of Interleavers

2007 International Symposium on Signals, Circuits and Systems, 2007
An algorithm to increase the S parameter up to a value allowed by the reasonable generating of a S -random interleaver is presented. The method is appropriate for both random and determinist interleavers, as Welch-Costas, Takeshita-Costello or the one given by the UMTS standard.

INDO/S parameters for gold

International Journal of Quantum Chemistry, 2001
AbstractTwo INDO/S parameter sets, designed for use in conjunction with 6s and 6s+6p+5d basis sets, have been determined for gold. These basis sets are comprised of Slater‐type orbitals with exponents chosen to best reproduce the radial expectation values r, r2, and r3 of the gold Hartree–Fock atomic orbitals.
