NDST3‐Induced Epigenetic Reprogramming Reverses Neurodegeneration in Parkinson's Disease

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
NDST3‐mediated epigenetic reprogramming revitalizes neuronal circuits in the substantia nigra and striatum to halt dopaminergic neuron degeneration and restore motor function in Parkinson's disease models. This strategy promotes neuronal maintenance and functional recovery, highlighting NDST3's therapeutic potential in neurodegenerative disorders ...

PD‐1 Inhibits CD4+ TRM‐Mediated cDC1 Mobilization via Suppressing JAML in Human NSCLC

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
CD4+ tissue‐resident memory T cells (TRMs) in non‐small cell lung cancer recruit conventional type 1 dendritic cells via XCL1‐XCR1 signaling, orchestrating antitumor immunity. The costimulatory molecule JAML is essential for this process. PD‐1 blockade restores JAML expression and cDC1 mobilization, while JAML agonists synergize with anti‐PD‐1 therapy,

USP9X as a Candidate Mediator of Prenatal Aspirin‐Induced Ovarian Reserve Reduction in Offspring Mice

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study suggests that prenatal aspirin exposure is associated with reduced ovarian reserve in offspring, associated with HDAC1‐linked epigenetic downregulation of Usp9x as a candidate mechanism. These preclinical findings provide new insights into fetal‐origin ovarian disorders and contribute to the evidence base concerning aspirin's gestational ...

Gut Microbiota‐Derived Anandamide Mediates the Therapeutic Effects of Urolithin A on Alcohol‐Induced Cognitive and Social Dysfunction via CB1R‐DRD2‐RAP1 Signaling Axis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study reveals that Urolithin A (UA) counteracts alcohol‐induced cognitive and social dysfunction (AICSD) via a gut microbiome‐dependent mechanism. UA‐enriched Bacteroids sartorii and Parabacteroids distasonis elevate anandamide (AEA), which activates the CB1R‐DRD2‐Rap1 signaling cascade to drive synaptic repair and reduce neuroinflammation ...

HPD is an m6A Methyltransferase that Protects Colorectal Cancer Cells from Ferroptotic Cell Death by m6A Methylating SLC7A11/GPX4

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study reveals that the tyrosine metabolic enzyme HPD functions as a previously uncharacterized, METTL3‐independent m6A methyltransferase. It promotes colorectal tumor progression by coordinately regulating the SLC7A11/GPX4 axis to suppress ferroptosis.

RPA transforms RNase H1 to a bidirectional exoribonuclease for processive RNA–DNA hybrid cleavage

open access: yesNature Communications
RNase H1 has been acknowledged as an endoribonuclease specializing in the internal degradation of the RNA moiety within RNA–DNA hybrids, and its ribonuclease activity is indispensable in multifaceted aspects of nucleic acid metabolism.

Critical factors for precise and efficient RNA cleavage by RNase Y in Staphylococcus aureus.

open access: yesPLoS Genetics
Cellular processes require precise and specific gene regulation, in which continuous mRNA degradation is a major element. The mRNA degradation mechanisms should be able to degrade a wide range of different RNA substrates with high efficiency, but should ...
