Analysis, occurrence and control of chloro-s-triazine endocrine disrupting chemicals in drinking water [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
Chloro-s-triazine is a general term for a suite of triazine compounds including atrazine (ATZ), simazine (SIM), propazine (PROP), deethlatrazine (DEA), deisopropylatrazine (DIA), and didealkylatrazine (DDA), which have a common chloro-group on their ...

Urea Derivatives as H2S Scavengers

open access: yesMolecules
Simple urea-based chemicals have been used in the textile industry for “ironing-free clothes” for decades. One of the most used chemicals is 1,3-dimethylol-4,5-dihydroxyethyleneurea (DMDHEU), which consists of urea, glyoxal and formaldehyde.

A Self‐Enhanced Tandem Catalytic System for Olefin‐to‐Diol Conversion Powered by Single‐Atom Fe Catalysts With In Situ Generated Acid

open access: yesEcoEnergy, EarlyView.
A single‐atom iron catalyst with well‐defined Fe–N4 sites enables a tandem epoxidation‐hydrolysis process for converting terminal olefins to 1,2‐diols. The in situ‐generated isobutyric acid drives the hydrolysis step, affording broad substrate scope and excellent recyclability.

Enhanced Photocatalytic Antibiotic Micropollutants Removal Resulting From a Synergism Between Cu Single Atoms and Carbon Vacancies on Graphitic Carbon Nitride

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
Scheme of the synergistic degradation for antibiotic micropollutants in the Cu/ag‐C3N4 system. Photocatalytic processes driven by visible‐light irradiation offer a sustainable means of micropollutants removal from aquatic environments without the addition of reagents.

Dominant Lithium‐Ion Conduction and Desolvation Regulation Enabled by Lithiated Monodisperse Nanospheres Composite Separator for High‐Nickel Lithium Batteries

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
To match high‐nickel lithium batteries, a composite separator is designed using a sulfonation‐lithiation nanosphere coating modification strategy. The composite separator can enhance the selectivity of lithium‐ion transport, accelerate Li+‐desolvation, and capture Ni, Co, and Mn ions.

Decorating Carbon Nitride via the Integration of Phosphorylation with Carbon Self‐doping toward Enhanced Photocatalytic Hydrogen Evolution

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
The electron transfer from the grafted ATMP to the adjacent heptazine ring can induce the proton transfer of the hydroxyls on ATMP to Pt co‐catalyst nanoparticles. This coupling of proton transfer and electron transport also promotes the separation and transport of charge carriers and therefore advances the performance of photocatalytic hydrogen ...
